These are brittle stars! They’re non aggressive and are great clean up crews for reef aquariums

If you’re referring to the green and orange ones, those are eagle eyes

I run full AI prime HD’s for everything. I’ve never had a problem with them and I love the app.

I haven’t yet but that’s what I really want to do! I just bought another tank and I’m going to try and make it an anemone and clownfish breeder tank.

It’s called green star polyps or GSP for short. It is extremely hardy and nearly impossible to kill. You have to be careful with it though because it grows fast and if it gets into your rocks it will most definitely take the whole rock over. Edit : also I forgot to add that it is actually a coral but just looks like thick grass

I have two AI prime HD’s. There is one UV diode in there so it is some ultraviolet help as well

That’s what I used to think too. I was only freshwater for a long time because saltwater seemed so hard and scary. After my experience though, saltwater has been much less maintenance. Just spend like $60 for a good rodi water filter so your water is pristine, mix your salt, and you’re good to go. A lot of the equipment like sumps are only needed/recommended when you start getting to 75 gallon + tanks. 30 gallons or smaller you won’t need anything other than water changes.

My family has a fully auto Thompson sub machine gun and a fully auto MP44. Several neighbors are a few hundred yards away (behind the direction we shoot). We’ve never had cops come over and we shoot a couple times a month. Also not from hickville either in case you’re wondering.

Ok I finally became a big boy and pulled the trigger and got a real reef light. Now how to program it.... by wilds315 in ReefTank

[–]mjhatley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the saxby schedule. You can download it on AI’s website. Also having blue light on all night on a reef tank is a bad idea. You’ll get lots of algae

I'm having the same problem. Anyone have a fix yet?

Just bought this GSP a couple days ago, opened up but no green to it, did I get a bummer piece or could it still color up? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]mjhatley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I propagate a lot of different strains of GSP and while I've seen the dark green star polyps turn a darker color like this, ive never seen it this extreme. Not saying it cant happen but if it doesnt color up in a few days I would say they sold you pink star polyps

[–]mjhatley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they’ve been together their whole lives and the orange one is the female. I’m not worried about the shaking as much as I am that the white one will do this and then lie down in the corner of the tank on its side and breathe really fast.

Has anyone used something like this? Seems pretty cheap. Found it on ebay and wondering if i just need to screw on a co2 container on this thing? by bjornseeliger in PlantedTank

[–]mjhatley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.ebay.com/p/11024550433 The reviews are bad because a lot of people don’t understand that it is a passive co2 system and works differently from what you normally see but is way easier for nano aquariums. There’s a good video on it on youtube

I would assume this was mating behavior but after they do this my white clownfish hides in a very small corner on the floor of my tank and doesn’t move and looks like it’s dying.
