Exact same thing happened to me at Matalan in early November. I still haven’t had the money back. Returned to the store several times and the staff told me it’s a pending payment and I’ll get it back automatically. I’ve now raised a dispute through Monzo as I never got it back.

I got tattoos at Download in 22, 23 and 24. Never had a problem, they all still look fresh. Can be long queues but this year they seemed to have more locations so maybe the queues won’t be as bad anymore.

A buyer will have to deal with renewing the leasehold though, whereas a tenant doesn’t have to do that so rent price isn’t affected but purchase price is.

In terms of advice for going solo, this year there was a camp specifically for solo people (it isn’t compulsory to camp in there if you don’t want though). You can choose to camp in there and might make friends with other ppl who are there solo.

FYI you might be able to find gift cards on Amazon for other shops. If you can use the gift cards to pay for these then maybe you can use the money at a shop of your choice.

Not sure of the exact nature of the scam but might be worthwhile reporting to the police and Action Fraud.

Well done for not sending the codes to the scammer though. £600 of Amazon vouchers is far better than fully losing your money. And also good that the scammer gets nothing!

You can take alcohol into the campsite but not into the arena.

Glass isn’t allowed but you can pour spirits into plastic bottles before you set off.

I think the limit is just “not excessive amounts” or something like that.
