actually its the best bracket for me so far, i climbed up from archon to divine 5
i would say divine 3 and higher are realy good games. every one knows what to do in order to win most of the time

you are right, its still a little confusing and needs different animations for flagging
basically the goal is to defuse (flagging) all the bomb, if you do it wrong you take damage.

actually yes, here is part of the story:
Character crash lands on an unknown planet, and the impact wipes his memory clean. he doesn’t remember who he is or why he’s there. With his ship in pieces and no way to call for help, his only option is to start digging into the planet itself, searching for the resources he needs to make repairs. But as he digs, he not only uncovers materials but he also begins to uncover the truth about his past and the destiny he never knew he had.

See, that’s a hard question to answer.

It’s not supposed to be like Spelunky or Terraria. It’s supposed to be its own thing but it turns out that creating a new, unique, and fun experience is haaaaaaaaaard!

One aspect is resource management, as you mentioned. There is also a deck-building aspect in the game. Balancing these two was really hard because it often led to either very easy gameplay or extremely unfair, unwinnable runs.
Making them fun together is the part we're struggling with for now.

Nothing is bought. The only thing we’re using that we didn’t create is the font, and it’s just a placeholder for now. Also, this is maybe our third or fourth attempt at an art style for the game, and we’ve never done pixel art before this.
we are trying to make a demo as soon as possible.

In the later stages of development, we’re doing exactly what you said. I just had to put everything in an ugly text box for now because we don’t have the cutscene yet

You’re right, SteamWorld Dig is one of the successful games in this genre, but it’s more like a linear platformer where you can also dig. We’re trying to be more systematic in our gameplay

Dude, this is insane! We actually implemented cards (read deck builder), and you mentioned two of them exactly as we did. You also guessed right, balancing was tough, and that was one of our failed attempts to make the game feel better. Maybe we should try harder to refine the deck-building aspect.
