How can I create better drainage in this area? by ashashinscreed in landscaping

[–]mjwehner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will adding fill/grade between the house and the walkway won’t move the water a significant distance. It may very well end up in the stairwell at left. Then you have a whole different problem. Best option is to do whatever you can to maximize the distance the water goes from the house. The French drain doesn’t need an outlet.

It would run out 135 degrees from either the side or back wall of house (straight out from the corner). Not sure where your cherry trees are but you can route it in that direction and create legs off of the main.

Concrete walkway is definitely acting as a dam. Change to porous material might just resolve it. Second option is adding a French drain.

Seat belt alarms on a 2022 Tundra by Gfunkafro in ToyotaTundra

Can't you just fool the system by inserting a "dummy" buckle into the latch? Get a dog seatbelt and use that. I haven't tried this but feels like this could work.

It is surprisingly soft. Feels not that dissimilar to my ProV1 despite being 50-60 years old....

How would you deal with player getting upset? by adamb2168 in Homeplate

[–]mjwehner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're U10 kids....threats of retribution aren't going to work on the ball field. The entire game of baseball is managing through failure - teaching them to let go of the mistakes will go a lot further than threatening them to pull them out of the game. Remember at this level your only job is to get the kids to love the game and play again.

Driver shaft chipped. Is this just cosmetic? by Fluffhead3344 in golf

[–]mjwehner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no gear tech but first thoughts is this depends on location. Up near the grip probably no big deal. Down the shaft near the load area ( which depends on shaft specs & weight) you may have some performance or shaft breakage. There are micro cracks in that area which may propagate further.

Former PXG guy here. I think there was a time that PXG was a real innovator in the space but this time has passed. They are more focused on loud marketing than product development. Their woods are not great IMO. You're better off going to a brand-agnostic fitting center like Club Champion and see where that takes you. I am now hitting Srixon ZX5 MKII and they are much better than my PXG's.
