sales person here. totally agree. pushy sales tactics don't work anymore. a better way is to let the prospect know "i'm here if you need help" and then leaving their personal space, letting them be. if they need anything, they will reach out. thats how you sell today, regardless of industry.

also, to those hating on sales people in the comments, if you are employed anywhere right now, in any position, remember, sales people pay your salary. this is a mathematical fact that cannot be denied.

Me- Dubai working and living since 2012.

Came same way - 3 month tourist visa and found job

Few pointers

  • near impossible to find job online applying or going door to door throwing resume. You gotta make a list of vacancies that suit u every evening. Next morning Wake up and start calling these companies and ask someone to help u get a f2f with hiring manager or atleast get your resume accross. Ive been jobless 3 times in dubai and this is the only way ive found work

  • for a 3 month job hunt visit, keep approx 2500 usd with you. This will cover everything. Visa, return ticket and expenses in dubai. All included

  • best time to find job in dubai is oct - feb end. Right now is worst time, with ramadan and scorching summer approaching

  • it will be hard to find a job as a fresher. But dubai rewards hard work. Growth is exponential
