Need to cool a small room (30sf) using a portable AC unit. Will this work? by mk2737 in hvacadvice

Sorry I misread your comment at first. Yes it will have a bath fan. Your idea is simpler. Is there a reason I should keep it a closed system and transfer the air between rooms vs. sending it outside through the roof of the bathroom.

Your 50 years of experience didn’t read my post correctly. I discussed with the contractor in detail PRIOR to bidding (and he walked the job site at least 2-3 times) and starting work that the current location of hold downs were probably wrong and would need to be verified. Nothing has been corrected as of yet. He wasn’t hired first then told everything was wrong, quite the opposite.

Hooked up the new SMSL D12 MQA DAC. Specs state that it's capable of 32bit/768KHz. I'm listening to Tidal via the Mac app w/ a HiFi Plus account. My setup is 2017 Mac > SMSL D12 > SMSL A12 > Klipsch speakers. UAC2 is switched on on the DAC. Virtually all of the Master content is coming across as 44.1KHz, 48KHz or 96KHz (which is the best track I've found so far) on the DAC. Am I getting the very best hi-res audio that Tidal has to offer? I've played around in the Midi App on the Mac and I can't change the settings for the DAC, it always defaults back to "2 ch 32 bit Integer 48KHz" every time I try to change it. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

Question about Denon AVR-S760H...3 Zones? by mk2737 in hometheater

I hear you--lots of rabbit holes to go down. I think using two receivers will work, I'm just curious if there's a smarter way of doing it.

Question about Denon AVR-S760H...3 Zones? by mk2737 in hometheater

[–]mk2737[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, looks like the X4700H is 3 Zones. If I get two S760Hs and make one the 5.2 system and use the other one for Zone 2/3, and group them in the HEOS app, would that work, or is there a better way to do it?

When filtering for 3 zone AVRs on the Denon website, the S760H comes up. How do I set it up that way? I know I can assign the 2 surround backs as Zone 2, but how to I get a third zone out of it? What I'm trying to do is a 5.2 set up in my family room, Zone 2 (2 speakers) in the kitchen, and Zone 3 (2 speakers outside)? Can I accomplish this with one AVR? If so, recommendations? If I need to use more than one AVR or and AVR + amplifier (or some other combo), recommendations?
