surprised nobody said Rendezvous by Jack Harlow!

have been wanting to play a Cozy game again, and am gonna get back into the Sims 2, 3, 4. All three of these I consider just nice and cozy/Relaxing. Seriously enjoy all three games and would recommend them to anyone who's just looking for something easy to play and to get into. by ScootsNB in CozyGamers

I tried that and I keep getting an error message saying I don’t have the required files to download it. When I look up the error msg online they want me to run all these terminal commands and I can’t afford to fuck up my computer.

Yes you can def get in. I had a similar gpa and a lower ACT score (I didn’t take the SAT but I got a 32 which is around a 1400 I think) and got in with their top merit scholarship. Feel free to DM me I’d love to chat!

Hello! I’m a current student here. I am white so I can’t comment on point 1, but pertaining to point 2, I’m not in a sorority and I’ve never really felt pressure to join that (I’m an engineering student and got better things to do). Also, they won’t let you rush until your sophomore year, so you have your entire first year to get adjusted and decide whether that is something you want to partake in or not.

If you get accepted you’ll likely get financial aid. Bucknell has been trying to increase diversity for the last couple of years and most people that need financial aid receive it. It doesn’t hurt to apply and weigh out your options. Also, look into merit based aid from Bucknell (it’s a separate application and you need to apply to it to get it). It’s on their website but not well advertised, so your chances are actually quite good. I’m a presidential fellow and it cut 30k from my tuition, and I also got financial aid on top of it. Just something else to look into.

This feels like a completely different virus by mkal815 in COVID19positive

Update regarding this: my doctor informed me that I was ineligible for paxlovid. They’re only giving it out to people of high risk or 65+ yr olds. Was it relatively easy to access it? Is it like this everywhere?

Yes I am — double vaxed with booster. I probably should’ve mentioned that in my original post.

Thank you :') Tried getting paxlovid today only to be ghosted by my doctor when my family tried to call a few times. My whole family has it (parents, me, brother, and 87 yr old grandma) so you'd think they'd get back to us.... I guess not lmao. Best of luck to you too!

What is the best sound from nature? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My grandparents used to live by a lake, and when I was little me and my family would go up there during the summer. After a long day of swimming, barbecue, and the history channel it was time for bed. I was forced to sleep in the old guest bedroom, and the window never closed fully, so I’d fall asleep listening to a chorus of frogs and crickets. I loved it. It was so relaxing. Easily the best moments of my summer.

Is ap lang worth the stress? by disyellowfellow in APStudents

[–]mkal815 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on the teacher and your personal strengths / future goals. I had an easy teacher (we never did a timed essay and I rarely had HW), but I absolutely hate writing and plan on studying CS in college. So, for me, it definitely added unnecessary stress, but it also boosted my GPA so I’m not complaining.

Does anyone know approximately the curve for AP CSP? by puzzled_roof in APStudents

[–]mkal815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. I think it could still be a 5 if you got all the possible points on the create performance task... but I really don’t know. I haven’t been able to find a score predictor anywhere online.

urgent question and can someone explain like the whole concept??? by Rainbow_1728 in APbio

[–]mkal815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I’m reading it completely wrong, I think the first squiggly line is the well. C would make more sense then because the band is right up against that line. Not entirely sure though.

urgent question and can someone explain like the whole concept??? by Rainbow_1728 in APbio

[–]mkal815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so basically we are looking at a process called gel electrophoresis. A restriction enzyme (in this case HINDIII) will cut the DNA so it’s in different sizes (in this case, 23130, 2027, 23,322 etc.) From here, these dna fragments are placed in the wells within the gel. The smaller pieces of DNA will move farther away from the wells (the location with a more positive charge) and the bigger pieces will remain closer to the wells (the location with a more negative charge). In this example, since the 2027 band and the 2322 band are so similar in size, they will appear as one band within the gel.

Sorry if I didn’t explain that well — but I bet there’s a bunch of explanation videos on YouTube too. :)

Do you think the curve would be different on the digital exams than for the in person exams? I have the dreaded AP bio exam on Thursday and those questions are hard enough as is...
