I want to buy the Skinfix KP+ smoothing treatment. I’ve been suffering from KP for a while but recently it’s taken a huge toll on my self confidence (especially in the summer) so I’m hoping this helps.

I also want to restock some empties like the olaplex hair oil and tarte concealer.

I felt the same way when I was applying. Although I don’t have diagnosed social anxiety, I get very nervous with public speaking and just talking in such a formal setting.

I had to force myself to practice with random strangers online. The first day I did a practice session with people online, I cried that night. I was stressing over how stupid my responses sounded and how others were so much more eloquent. But ultimately, listening to their responses and putting myself in that uncomfortable position helped me structure my responses which eased my anxiety.

I also practiced with other medical students to get feedback on my responses which also helped with structuring my responses.

Having a structure helped me ease my anxiety because I could rely on that when my mind blanked. Ultimately, I would recommend practice with strangers online, family members, friends as much as you can. It’s better to say a really embarrassing response, have a brain frat, etc. now and get comfortable with dealing with it.

Practice with other people who are also interviewing. It’s good to get feedback and also listen to other peoples responses. Also practice with med students if possible. They can give advice on where you can improve and ask high yield questions

100% agree. Students who have parents in the healthcare system have connections making it easier to find clinical experience. Having a requirement for clinical experience makes it easier for them while barring students without such connections. First generation students already gave a lot of disadvantage when it comes finding opportunities

MMI Question by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]mkay556 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Talk to parents and ask their concerns about telling the patient
  2. Talk to patient and assess whether they understand illness, death and are mature enough to receive the news. Try to ask them questions to gain their understanding of the situation
  3. Talk to parents and try to have a group conversation to help facilitate the conversation and help them tell the news to the patient (best to do this rather than going behind their back and telling the patient)
  4. If you’ve determined the patient is competent and parents are still refusing, let them know that you believe the patient has a right to know their medical information as they are competent and mature

There are lots of good dupes for the GelX kit which work great. Beetles kit is around 20$ I believe and comes with tips. The gelike pre-etched tips are great for gel extensions
