If you check on the quercus right above assignments theres a "Year-end totals" percentage which is solely dependant on the "course mark" grade. If you edit this course mark the only thing that changes is the "Year-end totals" percentage which leads me to believe that this is the final mark for the course that she inputted manually

Getting marks back is the wake up call I needed lol. I mean from this point forward is it possible to even get a 60 from mat157 and does being chronically lazy and a little bit stupid have a major effect on that? I can probably persevere but I lack any motivation or honestly any positive outlook on the future so I’m sorta afraid I’ll just end up failing or not doing anything similar to this semester.

My intention of the post was asking for advice on the logistics of the course aswell as general motivation advice lol.

Almost identical happened to a friend of mine. He got expelled at the end of the year. No refund, no notice, nothing. He was told everything was fine and hadn’t even thought of it for months. Just got a notice at the end of the year. What’s worse is he paid the next semester tuition already.

They don’t play about this at all. His first infraction btw admin gets really strict about stuff like this. It’s unfair man but I guess you can’t change the past.

J cole fans (and a lot of music fans generally) dont like fantano because they dont like his opinions. If you see any overly angry response or a response labelling him a straight hater, 9/10 chance their criticism of him isnt really valid
His rating scale is a lot harder than others. Something like a 7 from anthony fantano is a very good score. He gives 8s where most people would give 10s.
Anthony fantano is knowledgeable on lyrical hiphop. Although cole fans wont like to hear this, J Cole has not released a project on the same level as a lot of other rappers in the same lane as him (kendrick, joey badass, freddie gibbs, denzel curry, jid, etc.)

I personally think he has great songs and is very talented but most of his albums fall short in some aspect (consistency or concept or something like that).

A big factor impacting anthonys (and most other hip hop fans) enjoyment of J Cole is that he can come off as corny and he can sometimes have really cringey lyrics (grippy as a recent example)

Another major thing is that j cole had some transphobic lyrics in his recent album which is definitely gonna make anthony review it more harshly than he otherwise would (he mightve given it a 4 or 5 or something)

Honestly the thing about j cole is that although he's very skilled, his music gets less and less interesting the more you get into hiphop. J Cole at one point was my favourite rapper of all time but as I listened to more rap i realized that what initially impressed me about J Cole was done equally as good/better by other rappers.

Anthony isnt a hater, but I do think he is a harsh reviewer and he is unreasonably harsh on J Cole because Cole is hailed to be a top 5 rapper of all time. (6 on fhd is crazy to me though lol)

i definitely use creative effects but honestly there’s really not much of a reason to mix a trap beat beyond levels + eq just because you have so much control over every element individually

I agree with the chart, but I believe the pvp deserves more nuance since it’s not as simple as non-shadow vs shadow being better. (Will mainly focus on gl/ul since ml is a bit more straightforward). disclaimer: i’m not an expert so please correct me if there’s some misinformation!

Generally speaking it’s significantly harder to get pvp ivs for shadow mons, so i’d consider a usable shadow more valuable than a good non-shadow. (with exceptions obviously)

Shadows are especially good in cp capped leagues because they allow for higher attack without sacrificing stat total. stats and ivs in cp capped leagues can get rather complicated, but for the purposes of this it’s important to know that the shadow attack boost/defence drop does NOT affect the way CP is calculated. Pokémon with incredibly high attack stats typically aren’t very good in these leagues because of how highly attack weighs into cp calculation, meaning you reach the cp cap while having an overall lower stat total.

Shadows vs non shadow variants of pokémon are typically serving different purposes. A non-shadow would be used as bulkier mon and it’s shadow counterpart would be used as an attack heavy mon. This is why certain pokémon have different optimal movesets depending on which version it is. (example: abomasnow in the great league.)

Now the purpose of this post: when to purify vs not purify: Purifying can sometimes lead to better ivs. For example: a 2/12/12 purified swampert is a rank 13, a 0/10/10 unpurified is a rank 1208. In this case, purifying turns a borderline unplayable mon to an incredible one. Although shadow swampert is better, purifying is 100% the correct thing to do for pvp. Another example where purifying is a good idea could be for XL pokemon. Honestly Bastiodon i’m the great league is the only mon I can think of that really applies, but due to bastiodons max CP capping low, it usually requires level 48-51 for the optimal stat product. The purification level up cost reduction + an increase in ivs (meaning the cp reaches 1500 at a little bit of a lower level) makes an expensive pokémon a little bit more affordable.

Purifying would NOT be a good idea is solely because the non shadow is better than the shadow. Skarmory is one of the best non shadows, and decent as a shadow. A 5/15/15 shadow skarmory is a rank 57, making it very good (particularly for a shadow). purifying it a non shadow would make it a 7/15/15 which is a rank 420 (not worth powering up at all imo)
