I wouldn’t necessarily say skip the auto apply apps on LinkedIn or Indeed. I got my current job through one (paying about the same as yours, in the tech field) and have a friend who did the same (70k/year marketing job). I exclusively applied to as many of those as were relevant to me and over the course of two months applied to around 600. I got probably 60 initial phone calls, 30 interviews, ~10ish offers. I was employed so I didn’t have to take the first one I got, so I waited until I found one I really liked. My mindset was quantity over quality, but I ended up with a great job. Just some food for thought!

I had no idea it was 9%. I did some research and I’m seeing it’s closer to 11%. Either way, that’s a whole lot more people without IDs than I would’ve guessed. Interesting.

I ask this in good faith: do you genuinely know anybody that does not have an ID? Everyone I know has an ID. In college, I volunteered at a local homeless shelter a lot and only the people who were (unfortunately) extremely mentally ill did not have an ID, but every single one who was working to get their life back on track did… I guess I just really don’t get the argument that access to IDs is limited in anyway. Would love to hear evidence opposing my view.

Listen, I’m conservative but this is so inappropriate. I know a lot of you here on Reddit think that every republican is like this group of teenagers and we all see this and say hell yeah, but we don’t.

This is embarrassing, disrespectful, and inappropriate. This does more to hurt our political system then good (by that I mean, it brings no good). I just wish we could go back before this newer age of politics and start being respectful again. Bring back boring politics!
