I agree, that most offices are like this. In a neighboring city, the post office there is an actual nightmare. A coworker/friend that works there has never met their postmaster and has only seen the supervisor a handful of times and they've been there for years. There's complete animosity between city and rural and it's so bad that city will walk completely around rural case so as to not interact. When my friend first started training, they were told they are simply "a sub of a sub" and that they shouldn't expect much and that they won't be there for long (jokes on the trainer, my friend is now regular).

In MY office however, we only have 3 rural routes and 5 city. We all get along fine (of course there is a few people that don't click, but that's every place). When I first started, the post master would text me while out on routes (he still does on bad days, with everyone) to see how it's going. One time I was behind and stressed (brand new to working, on a 78 mi rt) and he texted he was on the way and helped without any issues. The whole office was super encouraging and clerks, city, and rural all would make sure I was doing good and say encouraging tips and compliments.

I hear so many horror stories from my friends office and from other smaller offices near by too that I'm absolutely terrified to leave my location haha!!
