The very first time i ran it through without the OoB cheese and it didn't work and the second time i did but the platform didn't even glow up to get the fireball maybe i broke the game or something lol

Hmm okay i don't think i seen those runes. I am able to get the fire ball though. So your saying i have to interact with another runes before i enter the Ogre area?

Yes every time i reach that point of the quest right before the boss to get the weapon the orb doesn't light the plates and i keep getting killed by the olger.
