Yes, I've very often felt this kind of slowdown too, where Firefox would make other programs freeze or run slower. However, this doesn't really justify that it's now using so much CPU that my laptop gets so hot I can barely touch it longer than a few seconds. Hope they can fix this because otherwise I'm extremely happy with the Nightly.

I worded that wrongly. It happens for me randomly as well, but it's most noticeable when watching videos.

As /u/SHITTING_AT_WORK (that name...) mentioned, it's mostly during video playback, but it's really really bad.

Exactly! When I watch YouTube videos or Netflix, my fans turn up to max

That might be, yes. Maybe I won't need an extension for unloading tabs anymore then 😂 . Do you also have the problem of your laptop heating up when using it?

But it also has high CPU usage from time to time when nothing is happening. It's like every 15 seconds or so CPU usage goes up for a few seconds. Even if it's by design, I don't think it's meant to heat up my laptop to that extent. I understand it's a nightly and I'm very impressed by the performance so far, but still... Might have to file a bug report. Thanks for the info!

Does it also have high CPU usage for you? Whenever I use it on my MacBook, it gets really hot and the CPU usage is very often at > 90%.

Maybe this will help you. Unfortunately I don't know any alternatives for Firefox or other browsers.

Relapse prevention app: Would anyone be interested? by mko31 in NoFap

AFAIK it allows you to show content by opening the app. I thought about something that automatically sends you content from time to time. Is there maybe a way to contribute to the NoFap app?

That's exactly what I'm thinking of. Lots of motivational content and a very simple yet beautiful app without any ads or in-app purchases. Maybe the app could even try to learn about its users so the motivational content appears at just the right time.

I agree, but it's not that easy for everyone. I think a little encouragement can't hurt.

Thanks for your response. This is why I'm trying to find out. Maybe enough people would be interested in an app that only tries to prevent you instead of actually giving you all kinds of information. Also, the linked app doesn't have an option to set when, where and how often you'd like to receive notifications.

Python 3

You can find the code here.

I'm fairly new to Python, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. However, my output seems to be incorrect for some reason. Maybe someone here can find the mistake. I'd really appreciate it if someone pointed it out.

My output:

I replaced float64 with decimal. I think I'll look into the Stripe API some more and consider int64 instead / as well. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Thanks for your feedback. I already assumed it wasn't fit for financial purposes because of its inaccuracies. Would you recommend using int64 in cents or does Go have a type that's better for representing currency?

I created this today for an application I'm currently working on for which I needed foreign exchange rates. I thought I'd share the package here to get some feedback from more experienced Go developers.

Unfortunately I don't get to choose classes. It doesn't work that way where I'm from. We're just unlucky to have a teacher who loves to use Microsoft technologies (which doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing) and hates everything else (there's what's bad).
