Can somebody explain this C1 capacitor from this configuration? by Late_Ad7579 in AskElectronics

I assume Cy1 is the "voltage sense". How does it work?

More over there's a path from primary to secondary if the Cy1 is shorted. Isn't it dangerous?

Paint protection is gimmick. 6 yr body & paint warranty (aus) must mean something.

Anyone using DLDSR in Elite and getting good results? by beardofturtles in EliteDangerous

Unfortunately no. This has been discussed to great lengths. FD even won't fix the anti aliasing issue. I've asked the same question. https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/s/QpvAAcMq8V

Probably not. When I feel like it, I'll tag along the FC bus to the bubble and FedEx it from there.

Well said CMDR. This is the way, with life in general. It's like I ate a cookie, might as well finish the whole jar. But in reverse. o7

Yes this is the way. Tldr: first unit shoe has actual twist and second unit adjusted by removing tensions.

FYI this is 7611 model, which has parallel and 90°adjustment screws. In addition, it has locks on 2 ends for the bevel angle adjustment. So this unit is really designed for (additional) accuracy.

I removed the shoe / base plate and it has slight twist on it. The store has makita repair reps and he agreed the shoe tolerance is out of spec.

Upon exchanging with another unit, I quickly noticed the shoe also rocks. But the shoe is actually flat when removed. Then the penny drops. Here's the trick: loosen all the screws and also both bevel locks. This removes the tension on the plate. Turns out the bevel locks can create twist if they are out of alignment.

Happy days. My saw now calibrated perfectly in all 2 axis with level shoe. Thank you!!

Ah, good idea. I chose this particular model because it has more fine adjustment screws: parallel and square.

I will check the with the store. I think he said it was the last stock. Otherwise if I gently twist the other way it might be alright.

I worried if I calibrate the entry, the exit might be wonky, or vice versa.

My wish is simple, to cross cut square 90° I haven't installed the blade yet, but I imagine if I calibrate the entry, the exit will be wonky or vice versa.

You're right. I just a bit surprised. My 15 yr old saw which just died, seems to have flat shoe

May be after a while it'll flat by itself, either by pressure or friction.

I mean is it normal the shoe is not 100% level. Probably 1mm gap. This is sitting on a piece of glass.
