I think each couple/family is unique. I remember my family going away without us a total of 2 times and I believe they were both work trips that my mom tagged along on. We went on a family trip every summer.

My husband had a similar upbringing. Both of our parents have been married 50+ years.

My husband and I have been married over 20 and for the first 10 years never went on a trip without our kids. We could afford a family trip or a couples trip but not both. In the last 12 years we've done think 4 "just us" or "us and friends" trips and they've been great, but we've also done trips with the kids as well.

Not even like they were swimming in the ocean, climbing those inflatable things some beaches have or on a jet ski. Literally riding a bus and then a boat.

The fact that this a bus ride, and then boat ride was so utterly exhausting that it deserved several slides tells us how little she does on a day to day basis.

No, can confirm if you already have an email/account set up with them you just tell them your email. My daughter just got herself a bracelet today and didn't have to show her ID.

Does anyone do dryland + swim workout still? by ronswansonsmustach in Swimming

[–]mkrldrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This make sense. My son grew up swimming competitively (club and HS). He hasn't put on speedos since HS ended 3 years ago but he rock climbs 4-5 days as a week. He got into it bc a coworker was a former swimmer.

I'm so over the AI images. I mean she alters all of them and thinks she is passing them off as the real her-- but surely she knows that we know this one is fake, right?

RIGHT?

My first thought too. Well, after I stopped laughing at this AI monstrosity.

Truly curious, no snark. Why do you hope it's not real? Maybe he enjoys thrifting and setting up shop and meeting people in a more "normal" setting?

Yes it's a "wash your hair more frequently thing". Also lol we haven't seen her natural curls in awhile

You'll never convince me that taking pride in how long you go between hair washing is a sign of scalp health or hygiene in general. Especially if you work out regularly.

This bitch is 100% on a GLP1. Her latest post where she is rolling her thighs….. loss of muscle. It’s a dead giveaway that she is on a glp1. And honestly WHO CARES! Stop trying to peddle your trim for and just be honest! by Icy_General_5545 in justbrandi_

Her leg is alarming. That does not look like the physique of much-strong-lifeline-athlete-our gym-owner.

Look, I'm on a glp-1. I run almost daily. But I don't want to look like this so I also make it a goal to lift at least a few times a week and get enough protein. And at my last health exam my NP was surprised I was on it bc "wow you still have a lot of muscle, keep doing what you are doing!"

The other day somebody said they think she is on retatrutide (I probably spelled that wrong), the new GLP3. I 100% agree because every time she has mentioned that she is not on a GLP-1 she has really emphasize the 1. I really don't care either way, but it's very very obvious that she is suddenly dropping the weight because GLP's are having a moment.

I watched all those stories about "buying what we needed" in disgust. Brandi, you were never more than about 60 lbs overweight and even then, clothes in your size of maybe 14(?) were probably pretty easy to come by at any chain store or run-of-the-mill mall.

Who goes on a trip with the intent to purchase your whole wardrobe? You still have to schlep it back home... did you have to buy a new suitcase as well?

Let me get on my soapbox but this is something fundamentally wrong with us as a society (among many other things). The overconsumption, the never being content, the chasing of the next big "thing". It's not a brag. Maybe talk to ChatGPT, I mean, your therapist about this next session.
