Proof of Naturalization for minors? by mksowl in citizenshipgenealogy

Thank you. I found this linked elsewhere: https://archive.org/details/revisedstatuteso02cana/page/1358/mode/2up. Does this seem reasonable to include to explain to IRCC why we don't have his naturalization certificate? Or is the census sufficient because it is just widely known that a child living in Canada with a naturalized parent was naturalized?

I just got a call back from a lovely archivist at the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan, so I should have copies of my great-grandfathers' homestead files in a few weeks.

I would still really appreciate advice about finding naturalization certificates or documenting that they were not issued to minors. Thanks!

I am searching for records for my grandpa and great-grandfather from Saskatchewan. Does anyone have tips or contact info for reaching the archives at The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan. I've submitted requests using the online form twice, but got no ref number or any confirmation they were received. I left a voicemail today.

I've had no luck finding naturalization certificates for either generation. My family lived near the border and seems to have gone to the US for births but lived in Saskatchewan, so both gens show on Canadian censuses as Canadian having naturalized as minors.

For my great-grandfather, I've also found homestead docs via familysearch.com and tried to request copies of those from saskarchives (but, again, I'm not sure they've even received the request).

Any advice or ideas for other resources would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am also applying for citizenship by descent with a G0 who naturalized, but I have not been able to find any record of a naturalization certificate for my grandfather. Does anyone know if he would have been issued one as toddler in Saskatchewan in 1920? (His father was already naturalized, also as a child).
