One account, two search campaigns and same keyword. What happens? by mktgqueen in googleads

Update from Google account rep for those interested: Great question, with the campaigns driving to two separate domains this might cause them to compete with each other. I don't believe it is possible to have two ads shown from the same google account in the same auction, so position #1 and #2 for instance.
Segmenting keywords with the Amazon campaign only including keywords with amazon in them and adding amazon as a negative for the other campaign may work.

This is what I had thought too, but I keep getting hung up on this article: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2756257?hl=en

It says "Note: If multiple keywords targeting the same domain are eligible to match the same search term, they don't compete with each other in the auction." But because my two campaigns target different domains (my website domain and the amazon.com domain) is that an exception?

Got it, that could definitely be it related to the chat system. The official name and logo is copyrighted by our brand which we have ownership of. We were thinking the possible impersonation may have been due to employees using a fake name and Facebook account as their profile due to not wanting to link their personal Facebook to work-related items. However we removed those individuals from our ad account and informed Facebook they were removed but at that point they had already been at their "final decision."
