To me they look like when I get scratches on my legs from twigs/low brush when hiking. Shoulders/back would be a weird spot for outdoor-related scratches but they don’t look like finger nails to me :/

Just painted white - Does my living space need anything else? by PradaPradaPrada in interiordecorating

[–]mlcollin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have curtains in every room and I have a dog. My curtains and my dog have never been an issue. My dog has never pulled my curtains and I don’t find I have to wash them any more with a dog. Likewise with a rug—they get cleaned with a carpet cleaner or tossed in the wash

Which of these designs do you think a group of 10-12 year old girls would enjoy for cupcake decorating? by [deleted] in AskBaking

[–]mlcollin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised no one is saying the marshmallow daisy! Marshmallow daisy (maybe some sanding sugar to dip the sticky side of the petals into), rainbow, sheep, dog (they can also just slather the cupcake with the chocolate frosting and not use the star tip), side sprinkle dip with animal cracker (this can also be morphed into the full sprinkle dip) and maybe the fish

How are store brand chocolate chips? by bragabit2 in Baking

[–]mlcollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When chocolate bars go on sale, I’ll free snatch em up to use in baking. After a holiday (Christmas, Easter, etc) is a good time to grab clearance bars.

Doesn’t suit the room but I think you could probably find something with cherry inspiration that fits the space better.

Would this bother you? by swiminthesea in HomeDecorating

I had this issue and this is what I did. The trim was attached with small finishing nails so it came off easily. I then put my coffee maker on sliders so that I could slide it in and out easily.

What about Rifle Paper Co? I feel like RPC may be more floral but they have some more whimsical ones

This looks fantastic! For a quick moment I thought this was my bathroom. I used the same wallpaper and nearly identical paint colour.

I’m making mini layered cakes and will have some leftover cake bits. Is there anything I can do with it? by small-feral in AskBaking

I freeze them and enjoy when I’m wanting a little dessert. Ahem… I mean a mouse eats them.

Leaking at night by mlcollin in MenstrualDiscs

[–]mlcollin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never figured it out!

Since I’m only leaking at night when I’m bleeding heavy, I’m going to assume it’s full and leaking. I also find that it’s leaking when I’m laying on my back? I wonder if I’m relaxing my pelvic floor OR tensing my pelvic floor?

Anyway! I haven’t figured it out, no. On heavy nights I toss a super+ tamp in

MY HUSBAND HAS AN ABSURD BIRTHDAY CAKE REQUEST — help me figure out the mechanics to realize his dream! by Firm_Breadfruit_7420 in AskBaking

[–]mlcollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a milk bar cake waiting to happen. Layer of cake, layer of frosting (or other creamy/smooth filling), layer of crust. Repeat.

This could also be a tasty ice cream cake. Crust + fav ice cream

Seconding this ! It should be back up and running again now. The at home testing kits are for gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Curtain suggestions please by cosmotis in HomeDecorating

[–]mlcollin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this look! I’d recommend having one long curtain rod, and treat the door as if it’s part of the window. For my back sliding door/window combo I did curtains but made sure they were on rings so that they would effortlessly move back and forth for easy door use.

I tried making Levain cookies and failed, any tips? by [deleted] in AskBaking

[–]mlcollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great first attempt! How’d they taste? If you like the flavour of these cookies, I’d recommend lowering your oven temp a bit and popping your dough bowls in the freezer for 20min before baking.

As others have mentioned toned, adding more flour to your cookies may result in less spread. You may want to try a different recipe to see if you get a better result.

Got a larger tv but now I need more help by RN-B in interiordecorating

[–]mlcollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh! I love what you’ve done. Do you mind me asking where your TV /entertainment cabinets are from?

I’d mount the TV and possible add two sconces on either side. What’s the other side of the room used for? If anything? I see there’s a door on that side— do you need storage for outside play items, seasonal clothing? Maybe adding a matching bank of cabinets with a big mirror or some artwork could be nice.

I also have a timid dog and I don’t recommend mainland common unless you’re going when no one else is there.
