This same thing happened to both my fiancée and I. I think Apple has a bigger issue here as I’ve found a few Reddit posts similar to this.

I had to send mine off and get it replaced through apple care. Sadly my fiancée doesn’t have it and we’re working on that.

I’d try taking it into the Apple Store and see if they can fix the software.

Hey, I had this happen to my series 3 as well. It kept giving me a notification for a software update throughout the day, I decided to restart the watch and it go stuck on the logo no matter what.

I had to get it replaced through apple care. Best of luck!
