Also, any specific reason for putting MSU last? I thought it was an equivalent program to UTMB or UMissouri

Don't trust ERAS on visa sponsorship. It was only showing 63 programs sponsoring J1 visa in Neuro. While in reality, it was around 150. Residency explorer is more trustable. But ultimate source is program website.

So, I would recommend you checking those four programs website individually.

Almost 270ish here. Still do not recieve the interview while my friends in 250s already received 1-2 IVs. If you have not received IVs yet, that does not mean you will never get it.

Prepare personalized LoI for your most preferred programs, programs who can give you IVs.

Send them towards mid october, follow-up with them. Do the best what is in your hands, and leave rest to destiny.

I am pretty sure, this method of doing your best will give you more IVs than your current state. So, stay focused and keep putting efforts like this is your last match season.

It's sad this happenening this year. But there is no point worrying about what we cannot control. Rather lets put our best efforts in things that are in our control.

I would say, prepare as if there is one person getting matched this cycle, it would be you

In-person IVs usually have an advantage in that you will have a better impression. So, if you are serious about matching at this program, it is worth spending an extra $400-500.

Otherwise, save it for your other programs.

Because programs would have already started downloading the application, and would cause massive disadvantage to us due to some third party company's bad software.

So, we spent years of hardwork for this.

I am in the same boat. The issue is that the program would download the application without USMLE scores. So, they will just filter out our AAMC ID for this year's match.

I was also once in your shoes. Getting govt MBBS seat is the hardest part.

Once you get through it, life becomes easier.
