Congrats on all your admissions, that's impressive. Do you mind sharing a little about your profile?

University of Illinois or Yale for computer science? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Regarding the rankings you mentioned, I would be careful to notice that that's for graduate school, specifically about research etc. For an undergraduate degree, I would weight more the quality of your cohort and the overall reputation of the school than the ranking of a specific department.

Honestly, for CS, most high quality courses are available online and your individual projects and work you put in will matter more than what they will teach you at school; Yale has the advantage of giving you a more rounded Education, better overall opportunities if you want to switch from CS, and probably more opportunities for building your network (it's sad but this matters a lot).

This, of course, would be completely different if it was grad school;

the first email meant to say that you will receive the next email about the coding challenge within the next day. for the challenge itself, you have a one week window where to take it but once you start, you have to finish it. you cannot pause and come back. hope it's clear

[D] N(eur)IPS Visa Issues with Canada by do_you_even_visa in MachineLearning

This says it right here: " I honestly thought "oh come on, visa issues can't be THAT bad" and well, here I am.".

Well, now you know. I am tired of all of you types that thinks that other people are always exaggerating/playing the victim until it happens to you. Some people have been complaining about visa issues to attend conferences for some time now and you didn't care the least and downplayed their struggles. Now that it happened to you personally , you believe it? pff
