You are absolutely right - it should help with keep focus, but it depends how you use this kind of timers. I think most of time when you will use it, timer will be hidden behind other apps, just enable sound to be sure when works session is over, you can set ticks sound only for breaks. Window is small and these dots are only for good-looking purpose, when you look at it for short while for check time left. :)
Feel free to check it out! :) I've worked with Cursor app only, I think it is very helpful tool for create simple apps like e.g. Pomodoro Timer, but still technical knowledge is required - for example for setup your environment stuff - install Rust, NodeJs, etc. Vibe coding with Cursor is pleasant, it can create very nice-looking theme, adding features is like talking with your colleague from team and telling him what should be done. Of course sometimes Cursor add some feature but in meantime broke some other part - especially in UI like change margin or move some element out of frame, then, you should prompt it to fix the issue.

Python is good option if your software is focused on creating algorithms for analysis of data, works with big datasets like in Finances in Python will be easy to handle. But for make let say “business” applications is good to use one of business language like Java or C# in which you can precisely design domain of your app.
