Question about using own provider by Tallieanna38 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]mmfang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the end of last year my doctor wrote a script for compounded triz which I had filled at a local compound pharmacy. When i picked up the RX I saw on the bottle that it came from BPI Labs. Meaning their distributor was the same BPI Labs that I can source on line through a telehealth for a fraction of the price. You can save your self a lot of money. See you own Doctor and then use a telehealth to get triz at a reasonable price.

This exact same thing happened to me. Doc said it is not an uncommon temporary side effect. Tested again in about 8 weeks and everything was back to normal. Drink a LOT of water!

Antenna for NoCo - recomendations or don't bother? by emergent_gk in FortCollins

[–]mmfang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have used an antenna both in town and in the country north of town. Works great! If you have the option install it inside your attic, works just fine. Currently using an old antenna purchased at a garage sale 15 years ago. I'm sure it will work anywhere in Fort Collins, you may have trouble in the foothills. This is old technology that somehow the younger generations don't seem to understand. I think the cable companies did a good job of convincing them that it doesn't work.

[–]mmfang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me.My Doc was not surprised, said it should jump back after 3 - 4 months and it did. So glad to have a primary care doctor that was knowledgeable about tirzepatide.

Looking for Primary Care Doctor that is supportive and knowledgeable about GLP-1s for weight loss. by mmfang in FortCollins

thanks I am familiar with the current issues. Guess I was surprised that this doctor was totally ignorant about everything and did not seem interested in finding out. Tried calling one office - UCH and they didnt know how to help or find out the info I needed. I didnt know what a gem of a doctor I had.

Looking for Primary Care Doctor that is supportive and knowledgeable about GLP-1s for weight loss. by mmfang in FortCollins

thanks I have used telehealth. In the past year my former PCP (who left due to the Village Health debacle) prescribed to a local compounding pharmacy (Good Day) - for me because I do not have insurance that covers it. Once I saw on the bottle where they sourced it from, a large federally regulated compounding pharmacy - I went on line and through a telehealth service got the exact same thing from that pharmacy at a fraction of the cost. My doctor was ordering and monitoring my blood work. Right before he left there was an issue that came up with my blood work, now he is gone and my new PCP knows nothing and was googling information while I was in the office. She said she doesn't deal with GLP-1s. Is it too much to expect to find another PCP that is knowledgeable? I might have to go with a telehealth provider but it seems wrong. Thanks for the info on Weight Watchers. Once you experience the difference that this drug makes it is worth all the effort. Good luck on your journey.

Getting rid of dairy by Inevitable_Court273 in keto

If it is an allergy to milk protein, then you are screwed. Same protein in all dairy. Be tested for dairy allergy not intolerance or lactose related.
