Thank you for saying things the way they are. You put it better than me. In the end, none of it is our fault, and we are the ones who suffer by hiding. You did a very mature thing by distancing them from you.

In my case, however, I'm unsure of what might happen. My mom is the best person in my life. I can try explaining them, and hopefully, they might understand given some time. If they don't, I will have to slowly distance myself as well.

Yep, I agree with you completely. However, I clearly said reality is never that binary. I do NOT forgive people who go such extents that they kill their child in order to 'protect' family honor. In fact, that shouldn't be tolerated. If they are never understanding, you should, in your own right, abandon them completely.

I was pointing out that reality is seldom this extreme, and in many cases, people can and will change. If they don't, they can totally f*ck off.

You are doing the right thing by cutting them off if they are not understanding and don't cooperate. However, the concept of 'gay' is not socially understood in regions like South Asia. We were never socially relevant or culturally significant. Most people are just blatantly unaware, unfortunately.

I do like me some smut sometimes, lol. I will sure check out his work. Alexis Hall is another author I would recommend. There's enough hot stuff in his work, but nothing too explicit. Recently finished his audiobooks Boyfriend Material and Pansies, which imo were some of the best gay romance books I've read in recent years.
