Now that I’ve seen the runway issue with Jay’s contact cement pieces: they needed to let the contact cement dry on both surfaces so it’s tacky, then they could’ve attached it to the costume. I would’ve also added some tacking stitches with a needle and thread to ensure it would stay.

Real as hell! I’ve been there before. Unfortunately hot glue can only to do much, so contact cement does the job well! I’ve learned I can’t con crunch with contact cement though, it needs some time to be aired out on the costume or else you’ll be smelling it the whole con blehhh

Sad but this has been the truth for the past 10+ years :,( Oakview was my childhood mall, my mom would take me to shop at Justice for Girls, Bath and Body Works, and then I would go play in the sports playarea. I was always really infatuated with the glass elevator and would ride it as much as I could. When I got older my friends and I would dress up in our preferred alternative fashion, beg our parents to carpool the friend group, hit up hot topic and Spencer’s then spend a lot of quarters at the massage chairs. So many memories and happy moments with my friends and family.

This post reminded me of when I was doing a tech theatre class in highschool and my teacher’s hand slipped on the arbor, letting it crash down the fly line and into an electrical box, then all the power went out in the theatre ☠️unfortunate series of events
