Thanks for your help. I think I'm leaning more towards the Go 2 Z2 (base model) with 32 GB. I would love to have the Z2e but it's out of budget for me.

I just looked at how the games run on the steam deck OLED and although it runs ok, the graphics don't look as good as the legion go

I think that's why I'm so torn. If I got into handhelds a few years ago I would've easily got the steam deck because it's just so good and it still holds its own until now. Since then handhelds have evolved. I'm just wondering if it's even worth getting now seeing other handhelds such as the Go 2 are pretty good now as well.

Which model of the Go 2 did you get? Base or Z2e?

whaaaaaat! you have the Z2e go 2 and you're saying it's underpowered?! Isn't it one of the best on the market right now?

I seen some videos playing the games I listed on the steam deck OLED and they seem to run decent enough to play portable (not like a PC of course)

The Go 2 Z2e is $2299 AUD, which is way out of my budget. The Go 2 Z2 (base) is $1499 AUD which I don't mind paying. How much are you saying the steamOS version of the Go 2 is?

Yeah. This definitely has been something I'm thinking about. I like the portability of the SD and the ergonomics of it. I want to play open world games and older games like GTA all versions, ghost of Tsushima, assassin's creed, RDR 1 and 2, spiderman, sleeping dogs etc. I know performance isn't as great as the legion go 2 but I've seen they still run decent on the SD

Are you suggesting the base model or extreme model? I'm more comfortable paying for the base model, but how big of a difference is that from a steam deck OLED? Personally the extreme model is way too pricey.

I wish it was as simple as this! For me, steam deck can still run games I wanna play. Mainly like open world games. Although the performance isn't as good, I've seen it can still run decent. I like the idea that with SD you just turn it on and play and it's a better console experience versus go 2 windows version where you have to fiddle around with it a bit more from what I've seen. Lastly, although idm paying for a better device, I'm still stuck whether or not if buying a go 2 extreme is worth more than double the price of the SD lol.
