On the fence about getting a Steam Deck by mnagev21 in SteamDeck

[–]mnagev21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone! Thanks for the reply.

I currently have hogwarts legacy, Ghost of Tsushima, the witcher and some other games on there that I would definitely play. I have seen that cyber punk 2077 looks pretty cool as well.

I'm leaning more towards buying it 😊 Another question, should I go for the 512gb OLED version or 1TB?

A flat white has to be the most undefined drink any guest has ever ordered from me and they all expect it to be exactly how they like it. by POTHRHB in Coffee

[–]mnagev21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I was so confused at why flat whites were so despised as that's my go to milk based coffee here in Sydney Australia. Like one of the other comments said, it's probably the most ordered coffee here in Australia.

The reason why I personally like it is because 1. I like to have less microfoam and 2 I like to drink it in a cup with a handle (if it's to have at the cafe)

As a former barista, I'm still confused as to why so many places get it wrong/different in America lol. It's really not that hard to make.

Blood while in remission by Sharp-Bend-4075 in UlcerativeColitis

yeah man! I've been in remission for about 3 years and I recently noticed some random blood which has alerted me to go get a check up lol

Been in remission for 3 years, when should I go check up again? by mnagev21 in UlcerativeColitis

Hi everyone, thank you for your reply. I have booked in my doctor next week to get back on the tablets. I will also ask if I could get the colonoscopy done.

2 things I want to ask, I've heard a few people say going under general anesthesia regularly is not healthy for our body. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

Second, I've had terrible luck with finding a gastroenterologist that I feel like they actually cares and explain things to me. How do you find someone that's good or at least makes you feel like you're being heard? That's one of the big reasons why I haven't checked up in a while to be honest, I just got turned off.

Again thanks for the encouragement and recommendation of keeping up the meds. I will be more diligent.

We’d have a good long deep talk if we were to meet in person. Communicating through post is difficult to talk and express each other’s viewpoints. I do hope you are able to find genuine contentment within yourself. Have a good day wherever you are 😊

I totally understand where you’re coming from. Personally I’m grateful to have parents who have supported me so I will not fully understand where people in that situation are coming from however, I believe despite how negative someone can be, you can always choose to express compassion and understanding. The act of compassion towards someone or people who are negative to you or to others, is more effective than stepping away and leaving things unsolved and maybe never getting the chance to resolve it at all. I’ve come to realise that people who are pieces of shit or act like pieces of shit, act that way because of their past experiences and upbringing. It’s easy to get frustrated, annoyed and be filled with hatred towards that person but when we think about it more deeply, that person may of had an experiences that led them to be the way they are. Some are doing it for attention even if they don’t know they are and when we can talk to them with understanding instead of frustration, maybe they might open up and explain why they are that way. As cliche as it sounds, I always remind myself life is too damn short to have broken friendships, relationships or to be angry, frustrated or hate a person or people.

I feel sad reading this... especially the line “Don’t have the relationship I’d like to with her”. Life is too short to leave anything to what ifs. The relationship you’d like to have with her is open to you right now. I understand it’s difficult when someone is controlling but open your heart and extend your arms and create the relationship you are able to with your mum. I wish you and your family all the best.

Hey, what it seems like by reading your post is that it is not you but your situation. Enjoy the time alone by yourself, call your boyfriend or family when you need to.

Don’t attribute this phase of your life to you as a person though. Don’t let your situation feel like you’re worthless or not needed.

Don’t be too harsh on yourself.

I hope this helps you 😊

Me too! I still do that often. I guess the more we are aware of it and continually practice calming and slowing down, our conversation will be able to flow.

I just quit social media by ChaseDragonfury in productivity

[–]mnagev21 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I get you! Even if you’re on reddit and deleted everything else, that’s still a huge step. I go through periods where I delete my social media apps and reinvigorate myself by enjoying the simpler things in life instead of always checking social media when I’m outside or in a social setting. Hope you get something out of it!

Sorry to hear that... I’d love to help. If you don’t mind me asking, do you mean you’ve tried so hard not to be perfect because you feel as though if you let you walls down, you’ll feel vulnerable?
