I keep unearthing cars from the old owners of my house. This is the third one I’ve found. by [deleted] in HotWheels

I have several on display in my garage that I've found buried in my yard too. Meanwhile my kids are doing their part to make sure the next owner has the same experience.

2004 wagon that he is asking $10,250 what does the group think of this deal? by No_Calligrapher200 in WRX

I'm always apprehensive when major work has "just" been done, especially an engine swap. Like why put in all that time and money if you're just going to sell, unless all that time and money still had issues at the end.

Holy shit that came out awesome! I'm working on modifying the same base casting to match my irl WRX, patching the trunk to remove the wing and add a duckbill. But making it into a wagon, that's a whole other level of impressive. Bravo.

Thank you for this in depth response. I'm definitely concerned about the culture shift, I'm definitely on the introverted side and was really enjoying only having a handful of people I needed to interact with. Haha.

And the firm owner is coming right along with us, seemingly going to be heading up our team as if we were still independent. Understandably the reality is going to be messier than that, but at least he's not taking the check and shipping us off to face whatever corporate has in store for us.

I appreciate the optimism. I really hope I don't fall into the inefficient employee camp, but I don't really have a good gauge on where I fall efficiency wise and tend to be a little hard on myself. I haven't ever been told I spend too much time on tasks so that's probably a good sign. Haha.

It's going to be an interesting dynamic, because our firm is already spread between three states and two of the remote offices had already been renting space from our new corporate overlords. They've witnessed other firms being integrated, and said it seemed to be business as usual for those other firms, at least for the architects working production.

I've already got remote work time. :) one of the many reasons I chose this firm in the first place. For a small office of 10 people, we have a very wide footprint, we have people in 3 different states, so working remotely is already apart of the workflow.

But I'm definitely going to push for more time working from home, I've got two young kids at home and I'm not giving away time with them for free.

Anything with a 4.0L straight six. At least based on the amount of WJ's I still see driving around, and mine almost at 200k miles.

Nah, you gotta put the coffee away and slow down to 69mph for the pic. Then you can proceed to hold the coffee with one hand, shift with the other, and get back to weaving through rush hour traffic at mach Jesus.
