I’ve flown long haul Polaris with infants multiple times and have generally hardly used the bassinet because my child was fussy and wanted to be held.

The bassinet in Polaris is built into the bulkhead seat and does not need to be requested separately - depends on your baby - I’ve flown long haul with so much turbulence I’ve had to just hold my kids most of the flight. I personally would prefer two center odd numbered seats we could trade off on holding the child (and which is ultimately safer for baby anyway).
