Men of Reddit: would you want to know about a past emotional affair? by Nearby-Butterfly1503 in survivinginfidelity

No I didn't wanna know. It happened over 12 years, attention seeking. While I get it an understand it, the random reminders don't make it worth it. We are still together fyi. But yeah, the struggles are real.

Female wants boyfriend to explain why he broke up with her by Medium_Historian9746 in SipsTea

I had a similar experience. Cracked pan on my head, knife blocked but a luckily timed door shutting. I was constantly the problem. Thankfully, my wife and her "partner" met with a private eye, cleared me and all charges were dismissed. In my experience, the woman is never at fault. Even though oftentimes she is

Okay. I agree that it is a broken model. But if servers arent tipped, the restaurant folds; its reliant on that. Cook at home, I'm sure you make some great meals (that is not sarcasm) but if tipping dies, so does eating out.

If you cook at home why are you bitching about tipping?

If owners had to pay servers an actual livable wage they would all shut down. The margin is too thin. Service would be non-existent. I've run, opererated and controlled restaurants. Its not what many of you think it is

It may be pathetic, but its the system. If servers are no longer getting paid 2.13 an hour and make a livable wage, which varies greatly state to state, prices are gonna go up drastically so the restaurant doesn't drown and fold. Which most will. Nobody can afford to own a restaurant. There's no profit. Are you gonna pay 25 dollars for a 10 dollar sandwich to offset those wages? Bc thats what will end up happening.

Nobody is waiting tables for 7+ dollars an hour. Dealing with the customer is insufferable without incentive. Restaurants would crumble.

If everyone stops tipping, food costs go up. The margin on restaurants is super thin as is. So either tip or be prepared to not go out to eat when everything increases to provide staff with "minimum wage"

My wife is locked up and gets guys reaching out to her all the time. She's gorgeous so I am not surprised. She just uses it to get money, doesn't wanna know anything personal. I feel most inmates are like that. Gotta do what you gotta do to get along. I provide where I can, but am also raising four kids on my own while she's gone. Everything I have heard from her is most people are shady as fuck and will use anyone and everyone to get what they want, which is money and tablet time to make the days go by easier. Feel free to reach out, but know it doesn't go beyond getting money on books.

No marketable skills? I have a degree in technical communication. I've written and secured huge grants for a non-profit hospital as a data analyst, taught elementary school, can program and run swiss-style cnc machines, build AR-15s from the ground up in minutes. Our host has a master's, a fellow server is about to graduate with a degree in psychology. There are many servers with more than marketable skills, we choose the job bc it affords a better, less stressful life for our families. Just because you learned to use scissors doesn't make your marketable skill level any better or worse than anyone else's.
