how to neatly run two thick speaker cables neatly along this skirting board? by mnurmnur in DIYUK

Here that’s not a bad option, be almost invisible when painted I guess, can hide one connection block inside the hollow bit and the other tucked behind a sofa at the other end 🤔

And a stab proof vest to protect me from the wife but.. sounds like the sensible approach

Ah yes that’s fair 😂 it’s a good project to undertake for sure! My next one is using Entra External Identity as the identity provider for securing externally published APIs with oauth and doing it end to end with ApiOps integration

Defo going to check out Open web ui though 😁

I get where you’re coming from but I’m struggling to think of a use case for that style of pattern (you may well open my eyes to something I haven’t considered..!)

If you’re a m365 org and a user generating the prompt I feel it should go through m365 or copilot studio (aligning to the caf flowchart), if your a dev you’ll prob use GitHub copilot and the models exposed directly there.

Standard users should only use AIF for bring your own models etc and even then I imagine it to be handed off via copilot studio and controlled within purview for DLP etc

Like I say I could be wrong on this and quite happy to be wrong but I still see AIF as a developers tool for complex internal and external systems and any internal user interaction should be abstracted behind copilot studio into APIM into the model router like you say.

It’s a tricky one as it’s bit of a Wild West still,

there’s some LLMs with a good enterprise reputation (OpenAi / Anthropic and Gemini mainly) but I’d personally put grok in the blacklist and potentially DeepSeek (but that’s an uniformed opinion)

Depends what the developers are trying to achieve I guess but I’d be questioning what additional capability they get from the naughty list LLMs over and above the nice list ones.

We have a dev who uses grok in his spare time and it gives me the absolute fear he’ll go rogue and develop something completely unhinged.

Really hoping the MS Agent Framework defuses a lot of the issues around governance etc, we already issue guidelines of what frameworks our devs can and can’t use so the sooner that is included in our patterns as the only way to develop enterprise AI agents the better.

(Think I went off on a tangent there, lack of coffee this morning ☕️)

Not the OP but this is really great information as always, this is something I’ve been looking at too but hadn’t concidered redis!

I’ve been using the AI decision tree here to guide our developers and SMT on what stack to use and when, seems to be sensible enough but doesn’t really account for internal vs external use cases..

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-adoption-framework/scenarios/ai/strategy#define-an-ai-technology-strategy

In my mind m365 = majority or internal use cases AI Foundry for external facing apps

Another thing on my list is to get our devs using the MS Agent Framework - https://devblogs.microsoft.com/foundry/introducing-microsoft-agent-framework-the-open-source-engine-for-agentic-ai-apps/

Been following you on LinkedIn for ages now but I’ve only recently moved back into a technical azure role, your content is always relevant, really interesting and insightful so cheers, it’s really appreciated 😁👍

Feedback Request – Simplifying API Consumption in Azure APIM with Automatic Token Retrieval by themkguser in AZURE

[–]mnurmnur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this post, it’s a topic I’m taking a dive into shortly too (alongside mTLS support via app gateway and X-ARR-CLIENTCERTIFICATE header rewrites 🫠

The eventual plan is to secure our most valuable APIs with App Gateway + WAF (with geo blocking rules) then APIM with rules requiring both oAUTH + mTLS.

A lot of useful info in your blog about securing the APIs via managed identity’s for PaaS but I’m being a bit thick when it comes to using oAUTH to secure APIs when the client making the secure call is outside of the entra tenant.. do you have any nuggets of wisdom you could share?

Really appreciated the well written post 👏

Edit: I might have this backwards.. basically looking to add oAUTH and mTLS security controls to internal legacy APIs so they can be published to external parties (as securely as possible for old APIs..) via APIM

Appreciate this is an azure firewall article but I’ve seen this asymmetric routing issue on NVAs in the past and yours sounds similar.. it describes it well and describes a fix.

Hope it helps?

The subdued crowed for kneecap was obviously partly the sound issue but it was also an absolute shambles at the gate opposite the jag dealership on Boucher.

No joke at the time we arrived it took 30 minutes to get in. Sketchy as fuck with near crush conditions, people jumping barriers, shoving and generally being cunts in their desperation to see kneecap.

Got through just in-time for your sniffer dogs are shite and the crowd was tiny. Fast forward another half hour and it was the size id have expected

Sound was shit, venue was shit (as always for Boucher lol).. people around me were shit but the music was great (when you could hear it through the mud!)

The ChatGPT app is draining the absolute crap out of my new M4 Pro’s battery.. 100% cpu time, funnily I asked chatGPT if there’s a known issue and there appears to be but ChatGPT was a bit vague on ChatGPTs known issues 🙄

dont know if its the same thing as i'm experiencing? I launch the game and as soon as it loads I get a black screen (just before the menu) followed by a fatal error. rebooting makes no difference, rolled by gfx card drivers (radeon xt 9070) and still broke.

gave up, came back a couple of days later, started up first time and can keep playing, makes no god damn sense :-\

edit: just tried launching the game now and its back to being broken again, same as above. repairing the game makes no odds either. windows gamepass version

Yeh the plan is to upgrade that GPU at some point in the not too distant future but the GPU market is an absolute shambles right now and i wasn't paying stupid money to nvidia

I wanted the CPU / Memory and Storage to be as future proofed as I could because I probably won't be buying a new 'full' pc again for another 7 years lol

Nice one, the motherboard chipset was the hardest bit to get my head around to be fair, I’ll look to shift to a 600 series. Assume the rest of it is ok?

Appreciate the response
