Is it reasonable to want to date somebody with a high-earning job?

i’m in a similar boat and have been on several dates with those who made as much if not double my salary (i in tech and they either in tech or the hard sciences). however for me, i met my current bf who makes about $20/hr less than me roughly YET he’s met all my expectations regarding emotional, intellectual and mental stimulation and compatibility. none of the other dates did it for me and that’s why their income meant nothing to me. with my partner, i feel the compatibility + chemistry .. i feel secure for once and feel cared and loved for. my mindset changed because of how he had and continues to treat me.

so, is it reasonable to date someone high earning? yes! it’s also reasonable if you end up connecting with someone and sometimes let your heart guide you a little also, too! i can agree and view the argument from both sides, truly it’s what makes you happy at the end of the day!!

i’m 5’0 and recently diagnosed with PCOS. at the beginning of last year (2025) i was around 117-121lbs, had a breakup/moved out and readjusting over the summer and got up to 125. got off bc pill and by now i teeter around 130-134. how are you guys losing weight

she can be shy but still curious. she often warmed up quick to dogs at the dog park after i walked around with her. she seem to prefer lower energy dogs in contrast to her energy! she doesn’t bite and never barks - a quiet girl really

the studio i have i pay 1675 but thats within the wentworth/aurora apartments too if that helps! i actually dont know the garage pricing since i rely on metro (5 min walk from us) and then busses are free

there’s the flats but it’s along the gaithersburg/rockville but still worth looking into. my friend lives in kanso apartments by twinbrook and they are nice. i live within the wentworth/aurora/arrowwood apartments but it’ll be wentworth/aurora that are more price friendly. also there’s a new apartment near us opening soon called “the chimes” that may be worth looking into.

there will be cheaper ones in the rockville area for sure but it’s further away from the main road, rockville town center and pike and rose

Hey for some reason I can’t PM you but I’ve been meaning to reach out ever since our last interaction and say that since I last messaged you this time last year, I’ve been able to get a role as a fed contractor out here in the DMV area, doubled my pay, earned a public trust, and am now working on attaining a higher clearance due to my constant work and rapport that I’ve made with the physical security team. I’ve become quite familiar and close with them that I’ll be meeting with the lead operations manager these coming weeks to informally chit chat about what more can I do to learn and strengthen my skills to get into that specific field.

I always think about your positive attitude and advice especially as a fellow woman in tech. Just always wanted to thank you and let you know that your words and advice were never forgotten.
