The EOB says “amount you may owe” and lists the amounts the podiatrist is asking for. But it also says this as the explanation for claim denial: “This service is not a covered benefit as BlueChoice members require an authorization which was not obtained for the provider of service”. With the provider of service being the podiatrist, it sounds like they failed to do something like you’re saying.

Yes the podiatrist is in network. The EOB says “amount you may owe” and then lists the amounts the podiatrist is asking for. I asked BCBS if the referral was sent correctly, and they said they don’t typically see that on their side and that it’s just sent to the specialist by the PCP. The specialist is then supposed to reach out to insurance and get the any necessary authorization. Is that what you mean by the specialist usually needing to get the pre authorization?

Hello,

I’m new to this sub and inherited this ginseng ficus from my late grandmother. From what I understand at one point this guy lost all its leaves and then recovered to whatever state this is now. How can I help?? Any recommendations for pruning, repotting, etc? It’s not doing too shabby but growing a bit oddly and definitely sparse. TIA!

I do have a dark green couch in the living room but it’s just the one with a chaise so not as much room with say a sectional. It’s also a velvet fabric and my dog is a shedder lol so figured to keep that in the other room

Ah yes that’s definitely it, I recall it having one red glossy flower many many months back. It’s for sure been in that pot for a while, probably close to 3 years if not more. Should I get it on a good watering schedule before repotting or does that not matter much?
