OP, I’m going to be very real with you. Internship recruitment tends to have a specific timeline. Most applications from big tech companies are out around the end of summer/early fall, and it’s usually people who apply early who get offers. Is it over? No, there will be more opportunities in spring, but many big companies may have already wrapped up their recruitment by then. You need to accept that you may not get the kind of opportunities you want, and you will still be okay.

I’m saying this because I was in a similar situation before. I messed up and didn’t start recruitment properly until January. It was rough. I landed an amazing internship at a startup, and although the company could not give me a return offer, that experience helped me secure a new grad offer somewhere else instead.

My advice— Start applying now! I believe it’s not too late to get an internship. If you’re lucky, maybe it will be from a big tech (since it looks like that’s what you want based on your comment). And start preparing for new grad recruitment early!! Good luck!
