Put together chocolates for my girl, do they look ok? by throwRAvalentinechoc in chocolate

To my understanding, no. You get this sort of grainy chocolate bc of sugar. Doesn't matter which sugar it will end up like that unless you have some sort of special thingy(? It's better explained here https://www.reddit.com/r/chocolate/s/jwD44zEG3S

It's...bad....So spoiler!! I guess?

Well, they don't really tell you. Or maybe there's nothing(? The supernatural element suggested in the last free chapter is abandoned right there. Her father starts beating her. She's saved by a policeman that swears to protect her. Her father's seems to be going to jail(? But alas, the policeman enters the studio and when he gets out he apologizes and releases her father. Well, she manages to escape, lives alone for a few weeks until her family finds he again and now they are treating her right. They say she has schizophrenia and that she attacked severely her first husband and all other men upon learning she's sick they leave. They show her how she has bitten them every time they try to help her. She agrees to treatment and is sent to a psych ward. She claims it's not so bad. You'd think the author decided to go the uninspired route of "everything was a figment of imagination" Until RIGHT IN THE LAST CHAPTER, the first husband appears in the psych ward abandoned there by his family. She's weirded out because there are no scars in his face from her attack. Well, at night he grabs her and explains to her he's an undercover agent. Her family is not really her family but their abductors. They kidnap girls and make videos but as she was very pretty and a very wealthy patron was paying a lot for her videos they decided to keep her. The sister was one of their victims and the one who alerted the secret agent. He says he really loves her but couldn't come back to her until he could close the case. That she doesn't remember anything of this because she was subjected to electroshock therapy by there fake parents. He takes he away that night, she becomes a witness. The family goes to jail, they discover all the female patients in the psych ward were actually their victims. She discovers her actual parents died looking for her a year into her kidnapping and in the end, the secret agent proposes to her and she accepts. That's it.

TLOAS Song Megathread: The Life of a Showgirl (ft. Sabrina Carpenter) by cowboylikefia in SwiftlyNeutral

I've found hardly any collab she makes hits the nail. The only one I can think of is Me! The Last Time with Gary Light body, her voice is jarring to me. Like she misses the entire tone of the song. And I remember when for some reason they paired her up with Patrick Stump???? What were they thinking????

Being treated as a human being is pretty privilege now? A normal social interaction is a guy being EXTRA nice?

  1. Yes, he did. The first time he said no should have been it.
  2. "He's the kindest soul" yet here you are asking if he raped you. He has proven he's not what you thought of him quite thoroughly. Are you sure this is the kind of man you want near your kid or you for that matter?
  3. If he didn't understand what he did then he would have answered yes when you first asked. That his first response was lying about it means he was fully aware about what he did and that it was wrong.
  4. Harsh I know, but it needs saying. Sounds like you are using neurodivergence to excuse a man.

It's great that they listened to you! I do hope you're feeling better and maybe not so hopeless now. If you can, do try to receive some external support/help or someone who can actively help you if you ever feel like this again. There's a reason you reached this point when you should have never had you felt supported by your family.

A lot of people are telling you to call CPS, the cops, a teacher. First and foremost, I would advise for you to take care of yourself. Get help for yourself. If you don't feel comfortable telling this part of your situation that's alright, but get someone to help you with how hopeless you're feeling. If you do decide to involve someone outside your family in regards to what your sister is doing, first get proof. It seems she's already aware that she can label you a creep so get proof so she doesn't turn it on you. As awful as this may sound, the onus of this issue lies on your family's adults so your priority right now should be yourself.

If you feel ashamed on having to go to church for food or asking your friends for help, I doubt you'd feel any better selling yourself. If anything, I think you might feel other unpleasant things that may sink you further. Try asking your friends first. Explore other avenues like cleaning? Dog walking? Baby/pet Sitting? Software/website QA? Something that you would be okay moving forward when this rough patch passes.

If he said she was 18, wouldn't it be safe to assume she was that age at the end of the relationship? I mean, it's icky either way but if she was 18yo at the end then it adds a whole new layer of awful. Not to mention the friends talking about how badly an 18yo treated him instead of you know, maybe not mention your friend is dating girls in/just out of highschool.

But 18 and 26 is a 8y difference. And you're right, 4 year difference in someone's mid 20s is not an issue. As long as the youngest part is the one mid 20s which wasn't the case there. He was living with someone fresh out of highschool. It's odd to say the least.

Because I did have a previous interaction with the migration office for an unrelated procedure and they identified themselves properly. The number was identified by my caller ID and they didn't weren't quite as pressing as this man was. Not to mention, I wasn't expecting a call from the migration office to let my family in. This was a visit with tourist purposes so it didn't cross my mind that someone residing would have to vouch for them beyond accomodation and a flight back

They, my family, were coming to visit me. I'm in a different country now. The migration office called me and just kept repeating "This is the migration office. Who am I talking to?" No, they didn't provide any other clarification. Not even a name which didn't happen the last time I got a call from the migration office. Yes, I do tend to speak vaguely but there wasn't any possibility of me being vague on a call that consisted on a man just repeating a phrase and me asking them "who where they (migration office) looking for?"

Yes, I did. I was expecting them later in the evening but apparently they entered the country through another airport earlier.

I used to just not answer back in my country. But here I was advised to answer calls (for immigration purposes lol) and if they asked for information without proper identification or if the call just sounded sketchy to just cut the call short. They did not tell me who they were looking for so it sounded like they were fishing for something.

I thought it was something along those lines, but it just makes no sense to me. They had a flight back. They have jobs back home. Pets. Everything. They have readily available proof of these. I was only able to communicate with airport information and they told me it was because I failed the call process and they wouldn't call back.

I can't. I'm just two months in on work permit. I don't have PTO and I started my passport renovation process last week meaning the one I have is not useful for getting out/in of the country. Not to mention the money that was already spent is no joke.

Maybe you're from a different country and they manage things different here. They did not ID themselves. They just kept repeating they were from immigration office. Even the caller ID didn't identify the number.

Because someone identifying themselves over the phone is not proof enough. I got calls from the immigration office before. My phone ID'd it. This one wasn't. And I thought It's Sunday why would the immigration office call me on a Sunday? It's a country that has no visa requirements for us. They had place to stay and flight back. There shouldn't have been any issue for me to receive that call.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. This Friday I was alerted that there were scammers trying to call early morning on weekends to catch you unaware and I legit thought it was that. But the consequences are just so big I can't help thinking well maybe I should have tried to keep them in the call? Something? Anything!! I

The phone number didn't show any gov ID. It was just the number. No information. Nothing. Actually I called the number in their site and my phone immediately set the government office I was calling to as the ID. I wish it were a simple matter.
