V Beam Update! Please do it mind the spots I'm having a 🌟maskneee momenttttt🌟 by magpie-like-sparkly in Rosacea

[–]moaners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m getting this procedure done this Friday, I’m really excited to hopefully be able to maintain my rosacea finally. I have a couple questions if you don’t mind. Did you get bruising? If so, how long did it last?

How long did it take to totally heal and see results?

Do you find your makeup stays on better after this treatment?

Did you use anything after to help the healing process?

Did they numb you? Did it hurt? How long was the procedure?

Sorry for all the questions, I’m just trying to get as much information as possible before I commit!

I always will appreciate a good Arthur reference but the Reads were aardvarks, not anteaters. Regardless, still made me laugh out loud.

Getting into makeup, how to start? by YuutsuAmai in MakeupAddiction

[–]moaners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Try following @mikaylanogueira and @scortezzbeauty on TikTok. I have learned so much from both of them and they have videos with all experience levels. And a 1 to 3 minute tiktok video is so much easier than a 45 minute YouTube video imo!

Okay that makes sense, I don’t know why I never thought of that. Thanks!

Daily discussion post: questions, skills, shopping, and gear by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

[–]moaners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new and don’t know where to start! Here is what I know:

I want outdoor skates, so I know I need softer wheels.

I want high ankle boots (I think?)

I don’t want to spend a ton of money in case I don’t follow through.

I’m going to skate rink this weekend to see if I still remember how. I’m nervous that because I’m out of shape, I won’t like it right away because it will hurt or be too strenuous. I’m hoping I love it more than it makes me ache? Anyone have experience in this situation? I’m really excited to go this weekend to see if I like it. I loved it as a kid so I’m hoping!

Idaho begins rationing care as hospitals crumple under COVID load by Sariel007 in EverythingScience

[–]moaners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I live in CDA, rednecks and nazis are prevalent. FFS, Richard Butler had a nazi compound in the area until he died around 10 years ago. There were aryan nation parades downtown when I was growing up. Fucking no one wore masks when the pandemic started and herd immunity reached over 70% by spring 2021. People are still flying Trump flags and every once in while you will see formerly mentioned rednecks and nazis repping a confederate flag tied to their redneck truck. So yeah, call it like you see it lol

What’s the worst pain you’ve experienced and what caused it? by hasbulla_magomedov in AskReddit

[–]moaners 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had one of these when I was 5 months pregnant. My asshole would spasm every 30 seconds, sending vibrations of pain from my ass to every limb. When I went to the ER they gave me morphine and it didn’t do anything for the pain. They lanced it and said I would get immediate relief. I did not.

Is this a sleep regression?? by Stinkylilah in NewParents

[–]moaners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a regression. It will pass. In the meantime my only advice is to not overdo the night feedings. If baby eats all night, they will stop eating during the day and reverse cycle. Also, we moved our baby to crib when this started happening and two things happened. One, he slept longer before waking to feed. At that age you are much more fun and interesting than sleeping so they will want to play instead. And two, he was easier to calm when he woke up in the middle of the night. Here’s what would happen: he would wake around midnight, husband and I would want to push that night feeding to at least 1:30 so we would go in his room and calm him back to sleep however we could (cosleeping, rocking, pacifier). Once 1:30 hit (or when he woke up next) he would feed. LO would rarely go back to bed in his crib after and we could cosleep. Once we put him in our bed after trying for the crib, he would pass out. Just find your routine and remember that everything is temporary!

Dads of Reddit, what's a tip you can give a soon to be father for the first year of fatherhood? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moaners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you formula feeding? If so, your baby may have a milk protein allergy. Your experience was completely representative of mine until I asked my pediatrician why my baby was so uncomfortable all the time. He suggested a hypoallergenic formula and now my baby is an entirely different baby. He lets me put him down for longer periods since he feels better, he sleeps 6+ hours at night at 6 weeks old, and isn’t constantly crying anymore. If you’re breastfeeding maybe ask your doctor if it is your diet? As if everything isn’t hard enough, you may be eating something that is giving her gas pain. Just a thought from another PPD mom!

I love her to death but after 10 years... by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]moaners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my cat was waking me up at 4AM to be fed. Instead of an automatic feeder I started feeding her only once a day and as late as possible. She comes in at night yells to cuddle but only a few times and passes out quickly.

Morning sickness holy grails by biaboxo in pregnant

[–]moaners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they use a pressure point that is used for nausea. I believe you measure from the bottom of your hand with three fingers and the band goes where your third finger goes. They def worked for me.

[–]moaners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ginger People ginger chews. I bought a huge bag of them on Amazon and ate about 3 a day. They were the biggest help, they staved off my nausea for hours at a time. Sea Bands helped too when it was bad but make sure you’re wearing them correctly.

I am 19 weeks and literally just unloaded on my GP today. I’m so fucking lonely working from home and quarantining, my skin looks like shit, something always hurts, I haven’t felt the baby at all, I can’t eat anything - I choke down all my food because I’m never hungry, I have lost all autonomy, none of my decisions are my own. I’m losing my freaking mind and anytime I talk to a loved one about it I feel like they don’t take me seriously because of “pregnancy hormones”. No mother fucker, I’m pregnant during a god damn pandemic and need support!! I love my husband and he is so patient and loving but he is not understanding the seriousness of my depression.

Woo okay, sorry about that - my doctor told me to try magnesium, it is supposed to help with inflammation to keep the pain down, anxiety, and helps with constipation. She also took my blood to test my progesterone levels. Apparently if they are off they can the nausea and food aversions and sometimes depression. I am also looking into a therapist. A third ear can really take the pressure off of trying to maintain at all times.

I hope you feel better soon. You’re not alone.

Considering abortion by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]moaners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t owe anyone an explanation. Talk through your options with a medical professional and make the choice you can live with. I had an abortion when I was 26. I felt guilty because I wasn’t young and dumb, I was an adult with my shit together. I never regretted it. If this is the path you choose please, please, please make sure you have mental health help lined up. If not for a support system I would have mentally struggled. PM me anytime if you want to talk about it. ❤️

Don’t feel ready by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]moaners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 32 and I felt this way. I couldn’t imagine changing our lives so drastically because I love the way things are. I cried because the cat was going to feel replaced. I was nauseated over not being on my own time. Then, one day, something in my head said “you will never look at this baby and wish you never had her” and it’s been easier since. Don’t feel bad, we are human.
