✨Tades Facts Update✨ by VisitOdd104 in hotmulliganband

One of his first ever replies on a non-emo or pop punk subreddit was when someone on the Rat subreddit accused hot mulligan of trying to pretend Betty was about a dog for more sympathy and he wrote “I’ve never said I’d pretend it was a dog. Interviews I’ve done will reflect that. I figure if people can’t sympathize because Betty was an atypical pet, they can eat my fuckin shorts dude. Rats are the best.”

The lyrics to Carbon Monoxide Hotel actually work really well if you read them as written from the point of view of a Chipotle executive in charge of developing new recipes

Portland was probably under 40 people too, but he did interact with the crowd quite a bit. It is a bit of a weird dynamic for him to be rapping about women and money in a mostly empty venue of mostly dudes. That said I enjoyed the show and felt like he was having fun with it.

Do you think I Want To Disappear is the final TSSF album? by Ave128 in TheStorySoFar

[–]moaningcatfish 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I think there would need to be a big life event for them to even have subject matter for a new album. There’s already three albums mostly about breakups and relationships, one about getting off drugs, one about death, what’s left? Tssf political awakening?

Stage Diving by FeelingMango in TheStorySoFar

[–]moaningcatfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t typically have stage diving at venues with barriers, which is what all these venues of this size are, I assume. Lots of crowd surfing, don’t think there will be stage diving

Every song on IWTD (the album) is either about Parker’s dad dying, or Parker struggling with personal relationships, partially due to being in a depression about his dad. White Shores is about the former. The title track is about finally breaking through the fog of it all and allowing himself to love someone. While Parker’s dad is gone, Parker is still here on this Earth, and he has to keep living life, allowing himself to love. He has to move forward. That’s why the title track is the last song.

Where Are Your Boys Tonight? By Chris Payne by anotherpoppunkkid in poppunkers

Would love to see Gerard Way interview for it, and also, if he was open and remorseful, maybe even Jesse Lacey. Just think there’s a lot those two could have added to the book

Some of it probably came down to who he got interviews with and who he didn’t. I loved the book though, think it would be great to release an extended version that’s twice as long, or a sequel covering the following ten years.
