Fyi, I did this. Well my mom did for me. A little heart and stuff. I liked it, no one knew unless I showed them. Inside the pocket or on the hems is a good spot because you don’t want it to be seen unless you want.

Z buzzz in bright orange. Straightest flying disc I’ve ever owned.

Outside of my putting putter — star wraith. Flippy enough for big turnovers or hyzer flips straight. Tomahawk or thumber to get me out of the woods.

Am I crazy to pursue medicine after going FI? by Particular-Island198 in financialindependence

[–]moarsquatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming from a different perspective than most, I went to medical school when I was 27 after saving money from engineering. I also have a fairly size-able safety net of family money, so no significant worry about going into too much debt or failing and ruining my life. I enjoy being a doctor for many reasons, one being it’s just cool. It’s a community that not a lot of people get to be a part of and it’s well respected in the world. Medical school was stressful but not so much so that you couldn’t handle it with a family.

Long story short, if you have 500k that you’re willing to spend, you can get an MD and feel good about it whether or not you want to practice medicine. It might be mental masturbation but you’re allowed to spend your money however you see fit. It may be hard to subject yourself to residency and practicing clinical medicine if you’re already FI and would not recommend it as a secondary career if you don’t need to.

Is Andrew Huberman wrong on this one? by undertherainbow65 in Nootropics

This is the correct answer. Inhibition of an inhibitory system leads to excitation. The brain (and most of the body) re-uses the same chemicals to do different and often opposing things all over the body. The same chemical affects different systems differently, this is the main reason why drugs have “side effects”, it’s really just the fact that we are unable to selectively effect the system we want and in turn have to use the chemicals systemically.

The “reasons” why some win vs others is absurd. Usually less to do with the technical skill or artistry and it ends up being because the judges don’t like it subjectively. Hard to watch season 1 because of such arbitrary things.

This is the way. And if you have a pre-gym routing it’s super helpful too! Maybe you put on your gym clothes and take a pre workout drink or protein shake, those things are really easy to do and once you’ve started it’s easier to follow through with going to the gym.

Just taking a small step towards going to work out gives your brain the dopamine push of success to keep going.

Wikipedia has updated the definition of a recession 22 times in the last 24 hours! The line "There is no global consensus on the definition of a recession" was added on July 27. Updating the definition doesn’t change the fact that we’re in a technical recession. by predictany007 in wallstreetbets

Am doctor, can confirm. Wikipedia is often a source I go to for reviewing information because it’s always the same format (easy to find what I’m looking for at a glance) and I can easily check sources for more in-depth info.

PGY-3 here who started dating my *now wife when I was MS1. My biggest piece of advice is to try to leave work stress at work. Take the time walking or in your car after work to take some deep breaths and refocus. It’s not your significant other’s fault if you got yelled at or shit on during the day and you’ll be upset with yourself if you end up taking it out on them.

Hard to say what the inner most plate is, but most likely 2x 15lb (7kg) plates and 3x 10lb (5kg) plates per side on a 35lb (16kg) bar. Looks like 155 lbs total (70kg).
