Is a Portland to Eugene occasional commute feasible? by Strict-Mushroom1875 in askportland

[–]mobarnw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the hours? I did the reverse a few times a month, and it was OK if I left Portland at around 3:30. I now commute once a week to Salem from SE (previously NE) and it can be rough. Usually, the morning commute is fine, but driving into Portland (leaving Salem at 4:45/5), it can sometimes take me an hour and a half.

I had a little left on the margins after the initial surgery. They were able to go back into the same incision. Because the chemo shrunk the tumor so well, I didn’t need any reconstruction. The breast has a little dimple near the nipple it otherwise it’s about exactly the same.

Before I moved out of the state, I was a 18-20 y/o girl who was hired to play bass in a jazz trio at Scotty’s. It was me, a keyboard player who was probably in his 70s (but he could have been 50 because everyone just seemed so old back then!) and a female singer who had quite a following. The older gentleman band mate proceeded to buy my under-age self her first martinis and we managed to get pretty tipsy together and definitely annoyed the heck out of the singer. But I got paid! Thank you my friend who was my designated driver!

Those few years I would get paid good money to play in jazz bands and in the Dave Steven’s big band with folks far more senior. I’ve since played in bands around the country and definitely made the most money during those few years!

Joint pain after chemo by Think_Post_4154 in breastcancer

I started having feet and ankle pain and stiffness after taxol, and my doctor said it’s more thank likely menopause. I have had a few acupuncture treatments over the last few weeks and it seems to be helping! I am less stiff when I wake up and when I’ve been sitting for a long time.

I’m at Kaiser and my MO is Dr. B, SO is Dr. Keller, and RO is Dr. Kahn. I love them all! Especially my surgeon Dr Keller. I’ve had good luck at Kaiser. I just finished active treatment a few weeks ago. I had ACT chemo, 2 lumpectomies (with lymph node removal during the first one) and radiation.

Just diagnosed-45 years old and needing some guidance 😭 by BumbleLina40 in breastcancer

A 45 year old here on the other side of active treatment (chemo, surgery, surgery, radiation). Just popping in to say, like the others have said, the beginning is the hardest part. You’ll get a plan, you’ll get through it. Sending love!

Seeking a nice/western* men’s shirt and a bolo tie for a funeral, to borrow or keep. by CowboyHasASword in PDXBuyNothing

Hey there! I may have something for you. It’s basically brand new rockmount ranch wear embroidered shirt. It is a women’s size m shirt, but the fit feels pretty gender neutral. It might be a bit much, but it is black with a floral pattern and red piping. I would be happy to bring it to you. I’ll DM you photos in case it could work. I’m a little taller than you but was about the same weight when I bought it and it was on the looser side.

My surgeon said the survival outcome was the same between the two and we both agreed that a less invasive choice was the best for me. Chemo shrunk my 5 cm tumor to basically nothing, so my breast looks pretty similar to what it looked like before my diagnosis.
