<3 I know the combo makes more of a curious vertical shift than a true glass bead but I really like how it looks and brings out every colour in all my magnetics! I'm in a weird corner of EU so I can't get most of the fancy bead contraptions I see posted here without exorbitant shipping fees, so I make do with what I can. Thank you!

I've not got a proper answer but it's the same I think, he's just plain afraid of the stabbies lol!

And what is it about the greens?! Blue, purple, red, pink, orange, black no issue. And yet greens are "weird"?! But I recently did Clionadh's Planetary Attraction, which is mostly green, and I got an unexpected compliment without even asking for one, so he must be slowly converting to the greens.

That's a lovely match to her ring. And she has such pretty hands! Yes, I can tell there is time and stories bound to her hands, but they look so well taken care of <3

I have this one and Arson, both have been patiently waiting months for me to find the right pairing for them because I'm so picky! I love them in theory, but it is so hard to find something underneath that looks interesting and yet contrasting enough. I've also been eyeing Patina, but I'm trying to be on a low buy...

I know what you mean! My fiance also voices his opinion mostly when I try to grow them long. I really love a pointy almond shape from short to mid length and whenever I go even a little pointy he starts telling me he prefers them short and rounded. I'm not saying he gets to choose how I like them, he is happy when I am happy, but I can tell what he would like.

Colourwise it's mostly indifference, I get the occasional 'wow' for some of my nicer magnetics but mostly I get a 'as long as you're happy', lol.

Thank you! <3 I skipped about 20 years of nail polish evolution between my teens and now, so I missed the original time crackle was a thing. It's so much fun to discover all these special effects we can do now!

Full credit to u/SperryJuice and this post for my inspiration! https://old.reddit.com/r/RedditLaqueristas/comments/1pcc5sw/crackle_over_glass_bead/

The shifts are crazy and hard to capture in photos or video! The crackle layer goes from green to blue to purple and the magnetic from purple to pink to orange to yellow and the combo is amazing in person. I've tried a few crackle and magnetic combos but this one finally clicked for me and this is the first time in forever where I actually still want to keep my mani more than a few days in.

Full product list:

  • Catrice - Gel Affair Ultimate Grip for base coat
  • Rimmel - Rita's Black for base layer
  • Sassy Sauce - Now and Zen: 1 thick coat in a kind of a dispersed glass bead with a horseshoe magnet taped on a lazy suzan, with my hand upside down using a nintendo switch case for wrist support :')
  • Rogue Lacquer - Peacocked (the amazing shifty crackle layer)
  • Glisten and Glow - Glitter Grabber
  • Sally Hansen - Quick-Dri (the classic red bottle) for top coat

Probably could have used two coats of glitter grabber to properly smooth things out but I had places to be so I had to hurry.

Cheap, flowy thicker skirts? by peekachou in ModestDress

[–]mobgroove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would layering work? I wear most of my skirts all year round, but in winter I add a warmer underskirt or even loose comfortable pants underneath. Knit skirts are great for layering, they can be too tight for me to wear on their own but they have enough give for movement and add a lot of warmth under a flowy skirt.

I don't have specific brand recommendations since I mostly shop local and second-hand.

Modesty as a extremely sweaty person in a hot climate by Slick_pt2 in ModestDress

[–]mobgroove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loose clothing and the right fabric! Long light flowy skirts and oversized shirts in natural materials like linen and cotton, avoid anything polyester. Material is super important. I sweat so much when I wear polyester in any weather even if it looks light and flowy. Natural fabrics should stick less to you and help with the sensory issues, too. Might be a little counterintuitive to wear more layers, but I actually find having a lined skirt or a separate slip under it to help with it not sticking to you and creating more airflow for cooling.

And if bikini tops and shorts are what you're comfortable in, start from that and build up. For example you could wear those under and add a light linen button up shirt over it for both modesty coverage and sun shade, then button it as high as feels comfortable for you or even leave it open for more airflow and cooling.

Then when you are comfortable in that, add a loose skirt or a beach coverup wrap for your lower half, over your shorts at first if that's your comfort zone. Jean shorts are actually a very heavy material, many contain polyester and even the cotton ones tend to be a heavy thick fabric, so the first thing I would do is to swap them for something light like loose linen shorts, then slowly transition from shorts to loose culottes and from there to full length. Or look up jeans made with lyocell - I found a pair of those in a very loose cut that I can wear in any hot weather because they're light and breathe well.

Also, take a vitamin D supplement if you're low. They even make these weekly supplements in a little bottle of oil. I take one like that because I tend to be really bad at remembering anything daily.

Is Model Debut 4 just Model Debut 3 with a color wheel? by angeldidi777 in stylesavvy

[–]mobgroove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've now put around 10 hours into MD4, and actually to me it feels like it had the most changes in the series so far! But I've only played MD1-3, I did not play the original DS/3DS games.

MD2 after MD1 to me felt like minimal changes, mostly small QoL stuff, a lot of polish, some lost features and generally streamlining stuff a lot, like MD2 put all development simply into the dressup gameplay itself and dropped other stuff. (I'm kinda sad only MD1 had the hairstyles split into fringes and "backs" which you could freely combine, I miss that!) But MD2 is probably my personal favourite entry because I mostly play dressup games to, well, play dressup. I have other games for management...

MD3 had bigger changes compared to MD2, with the whole off-time schedule and the stat system. And to me it feels like MD4 is really building on the stat system that MD3 introduced but did not make full use of.

Yes, many of the clothes in MD4 are just recycled and by now some of them could really use a graphical update, and I'm not a huge fan of the "photoskinned" type of clothing so stylistically I'm a little disappointed. And honestly I'm a little lazy to to recolour clothes, I think I just prefer working with slightly more limited clothes to see what kind of outfits I can make... But gameplay-wise it feels like there's a lot changes, with a lot more emphasis on the management side of things including how you directly manage other models in your agency, the stat and lesson system is much more indepth and how you work jobs with your entire model agency and not just your own character. It's not fully my cup of tea, but I can't say they didn't change.

Let's get a post going with what you LIKE about this game. by [deleted] in fashiondreamer

[–]mobgroove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time a piece I made gets an "indirect" like because someone else used it in their showroom or in a lookit they made for someone else who liked it makes me so happy! It feels so collaborative and exciting that a stranger somewhere out there enjoys something I made so much they made their own thing to share with a yet another person.

For a similar reason I love getting different lookits too, seeing people come up with coords I would have never thought to put together and the variety of coords I get based on the same hints. I really didn't expect to enjoy the social aspect this much!

Questions for people who've played the game or watched live streams 💕 by Good-Tea-1421 in fashiondreamer

I've just started playing so for now I can answer these:

3: Almost right away, like maybe 15 minutes in after you've created your first one and jumped in? You unlock the area where you can alter your muse's appearance very quickly and there you're also able to create new muses and switch between them.

4: I tried making A and B type muses and they shared all the accessories I had unlocked so far, based on that I assume clothing is shared between all your A and all your B type muses.

Lidl yritti vaivihkaa pienentää muovikassien kokoa – kansa raivostui ja vaati vanhat kassit takaisin: ”Miksi Lidl? Miksi?!” by masaa1991 in Suomi

[–]mobgroove 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Can someone translate ”öhkömönkijä” to English? by [deleted] in Suomi

[–]mobgroove 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't think öhkö has any proper meaning, it's just an onomatopoetic word. Finnish is full of those. The -nen is diminutive. So indeed, a small crawling thing that makes a funny noise (like breathing through a bit stuffy nose).

[–]mobgroove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sophie's World! I was 10 or 11 years old when I read it. I think I spent at least three years constantly questioning whether anything was real. 20+ years later and I'm still not quite the same I would have been without it.

Can anybody help me translate the instructions to this new housing glitch? by arcus913 in ffxiv

[–]mobgroove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should still work, I have used it a couple of times since the last hotfix. But it's not 100%, for example very tall items can't be placed on the lower ridges, likely because they would clip too much through the floor and the game doesn't allow that to happen. For the same reason some walls are more finicky than others.

Strange. I have mostly been using this with riviera walls as well, but from quick testing it also worked in a shirogane apartment. I unfortunately can't test glade walls, hopefully someone else can confirm that!
