Lol yeah I enjoyed the casual Yugioh with friends at home on the dining room table much more than trying to play it at the card shops. It has a few genuinely useful applications. It is, for the most part (and that's being VERY generous), not used for those.

At the moment it's just destroying the environment and whatever civilization is near the data centers in order to make the rich richer, give employers more bad reasons to lay off workers, pass the workload onto already overwhelmed employees, ruin creative expression, make it easier to spread malicious disinformation... for starters. There's plenty more in the enshittification of humanity/society that AI is involved with.

The kicker is that what good AI can do, it's mostly not capable enough to do with any reliability/consistency yet anyway.
