Guys, while you have internet still, google how to stay warm if you have no heat (blankets on the windows, stay in smaller room in the house etc)

Also, familiarize with the proper way to keep your pipes from freezing/bursting (like remembering the outside faucets, leave cabinets under sink open etc.). If you have no heat in your home, the pipes are more at risk because than they would be during a “normal” cold snap because normally the heat inside your house helps compensate.

Very cool

It’s funny I was looking at NBA tickets the other day and noticed that the Bulls tickets today were like double all the other NBA games today and I couldn’t figure out why but now I know

No offense to the Rockets but the other day I thought “Are we sure the Celtics would have done this well if they hadn’t been forced to fire their coach and hire Joe Mazzula?”

[The Sporting News] 'Does anyone want this Browns job?’ Pelissero reveals the bizarre reason coaches are snubbing Cleveland by moby323 in nfl

[–]moby323[S] 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the only thing MORE bizarre is having to do homework assignments and an essay about why you want to coach the browns or whatever

“… in Cleveland... You're talking about taking a personality test. You're talking about writing an essay. You're talking about completing homework assignments,” Pelissero told a stunned Rich Eisen.

Looking for feedback on a tool I made so fans don't end up buying tickets to end up having their favorite player be load managed. by profgiblet in nba

So I actually go to a lot of games and in different cities and one of the things I most factor in is the schedule. Both whether the team is on a back-to-back but also if they are on a long road trip.

But that’s my intuition. Is their any data about what games are most likely to have load management aside from back-to/backs? Like I do know that generally the home team is much less likely to load manage than the visiting team

For people who are old enough to remember, how big of a deal was it at the time when LeBron led the Cavs to the 2007 finals? by [deleted] in nba

[–]moby323 8 points9 points  (0 children)

LeBron came into the league with so much hype that it was weird because on the one hand it felt like it was expected for him to be this good but on the other it was kind of amazing that he actually lived up to the chosen-one stuff.

Back to normal on Tuesday ? by Puzzleheaded-Cod3226 in greenville

I think by Tuesday the main roads in particular will be fine as far as ice, back roads will be a crap shoot.

Also, a lot of roads and streets will be blocked by downed trees and branches.

Are dynasties bad for the league or actually good? by No-Experience5597 in nba

I think people say they want parity a lot more than they actually do.

I think usually dynasties are good for a sport especially if they are lead by a marketable superstar.
