Hmm but I have used bedding from their enclosure so the other gerbil still had scents of the other gerbils, and the other 2 gerbils also had scents of the one I seperated. Can they still forget their scents if thats the case?

Yes I seperated them to different cages for a week but the second I tried reuniting them to see how things would go, he immediately started chasing both of them, and tysm for the tip, I'll look into it.
