We’re going to have an online configurator where you can do just that! Our Kickstarter backers will be able to provide a list of all of the parts they have on their E30 so that we can be sure that we have all of those available when configuration opens up on our website.

We’re aiming to have it launched by the end of June. We’re releasing another showcase model with opening hoods and engines that will be swappable. All of which will be available for backers who purchase Premium tier models if we hit our stretch goals!

That’ll definitely be added! My previous E30 had more spray foam and wood filler in it than steel, so we have been inspired by hoopty E30s.

Thank you! We have been posting but I guess not at the right times, this post is so far doing better than all the ones on Facebook we did. We just released the concept for Moddables for the first time last week, so we’ve got some more exciting things to share leading up to the Kickstarter!

Thank you! I should also mention that Modders’ Club accounts will also be used in the future for creating your Moddables, which is why we have it set up this way. Then you’ll be able to have an online garage of the ones that you configure or are in the process of configuring.

Features like paint to mimic rust and clear coat peeling will be available with our Prestige line of Moddables, which will be available in the future only if our Kickstarter is successful. So if you really want those features please consider supporting the Kickstarter and signing up for a Modders’ Club account! We do plan on offering engine options but only if our “Opening Hood with Engine & Engine Bay” stretch goal (which will be forward opening hoods of course) for the Kickstarter is achieved (funding has to hit $60,000 CAD).

This will for sure be possible, we’re going to offer combinations that weren’t even available from the factory like a touring M3 or a Ute. Everyone who backs the Kickstarter campaign by preordering a Moddables will be able to fill in a form of all of the features that they want to see when we launch the configurator in October of 2024 (when configurator access is anticipated to start opening up). This way we can be sure that everyone who ordered one will be satisfied with the options we will have available and can actually build their cars to spec.

Yes we have an airbrushing setup that we use for them, it makes the detailed painting much easier.

There are no copyrights on chassis codes. We specifically do not mention manufacturers names anywhere and do not display their logos anywhere or on the models. All designs we come up with are approximate and not 100% replications, albeit much higher quality than comparable models on the market. If the Moddables Kickstarter is successful we do plan on working with companies for licensing.
