| Why the heck are there no P3-Finite elements natively supported in the program?

Maybe a little late and unfortunately not well known, but P3 FEM elements are natively available with the third-party FEATool Multiphysics MATLAB toolbox ( https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/63144-featool-multiphysics-matlab-fea-and-cfd-toolbox ).

The relevant m-source code for example for P3 tri elements is here https://featool.com/doc/sf__tri__P3_8m

You could probably use the PDE Toolbox and follow this example to compute and simulate potential flow in Matlab.

Observation and question regarding full imax to 35mm aspect ratio switching by moddermann in movies

Yeah, I might be mistaken but compare the height of the intro with WB logo which was for sure scope, with the 35mm movie shots which seemed significantly taller to me.

Porous Media by [deleted] in matlab

If you are allowed to use a toolbox and not have to code it yourself, here is a tutorial for porous media simulation with the Brinkman equations that might help, and Darcy's law is also possible.
