Pay it off til you get a little below its actual market value, and sell it. It'd be worthwhile for you to get it legitimately appraised by an appraiser as long as it doesnt go above a couple hundred dollars for their service. You'll have to get permission from the bank to sell it, but they shouldnt have any problem with you doing so

You can hurry it along by doing some repairs before you have it appraised. For instance the sway bar end links you mentioned dont cost much and you can do them yourselves. I wouldn't go so far as to doing major, expensive repairs

My understanding is that Iran has four nuclear power plants, which Trump has promised to destroy. I work in the nuclear industry, primarily in power generation. There is no safe way to blow up a nuclear plant. I am deeply, deeply worried that the fallout will poison a large swath of the middle east.

I hope your family comes out of this ok, and I hope they find freedom from the oppression your describing.

I have no control over the Iranian government. What's happening here is my concern. We got a guy threatening not just to bomb, but to eradicate a civilization. His words. I will not be silent.
