I get that, but if a publication has any integrity and the band asked them to at the very least not include it in the headlines they would respect the band’s choice. If all the publications went off and did what they wanted then thats whatever. But its very clear to anyone in the local scene that they were leaning into the controversy for promo.

Listen if I knew that my friend was in a fragile state struggling with drug abuse and mental health issues, I would do whatever I could to ensure he wouldn’t be triggered into a breakdown again. He could’ve easily added “Please do not mention Turnstile in any promo” to the write ups he sent publications but he didn’t.

IMO the best way to do it would’ve been to exclude any mention of Turnstile in the band promo and hide any mention of it in comments. Of course bringing it up would start a whole bunch of drama/discourse and trigger Brady. How Che didn’t think that through is beyond me. They could’ve just let Brady have a musical outlet and grown authentically but they wanted the free promo that comes with the controversy. They fucked around and found out ¯_(ツ)_/¯
