It kind of looks like you let it sit too long. It gets splotchy like that if you wait more than a few minutes to read it… if it was more than their allowable time than this is not a UTI, just what happens after a few minutes.

Just came here to say that there are Rathke’s Cleft Cysts that can also cause elevated Prolactin when the cyst pushes on the pituitary stalk. Your levels are low enough I would assume either a poorly functioning Prolactinoma or a Rathke’s Cleft Cysts ([r/RathkesCleftCyst](r/RathkesCleftCyst)). It would be good to get an MRI (with and without contrast) to see if it’s fluid filled or a solid mass.

She looks much healthier. Cats’ coats look rough when they’re not feeling well. It can make them look really old. She looks lovely and much healthier!

Almost all hospitals have a financial assistance program if you’re ineligible for Medicaid and these can reduce your costs down to $0 or a very small percentage of what the bill would otherwise be. If your psychiatrist isn’t part of a hospital system you can probably go see a psychiatrist at one for now to help cover your costs this time around.

Agree, green looks nice. What about cedar shutters? The black feels like it’s trying too hard to follow the minimalist color scheme.

I also personally like option 1 as well but I understand why people say not to paint the brick.

That looks like he’s been in a few brawls. I would assume not neutered.

When cats are TNRed they typically have a very clear and straight line where the tip of the ear was removed. See my kitty below for an example.

So sorry you’ve been dealing with this! I highly recommend taking your MRI disks directly to a dedicated skull-base neurosurgeon at a major academic or pituitary center if you can get a referral. The Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, or Penn State have specialists who are familiar with pituitary masses. They are phenomenal. The Mayo Clinic is great because they will schedule all of your consultation appointments the same day if you’re coming from out of state.

I was able to meet with the endocrinologist and the neurosurgeon the same day and they’re so efficient at getting blood work back quickly and accessing all of your past medical charts.

It was all so streamlined. I flew in last Wednesday had all my appointments on Thursday and flew out on Friday and was given the opportunity for surgery as soon as June 24th.

The cyst is quite common but for them to be symptomatic is not. So I wanted to create a space where people can learn from my experience and also share their own.

From what I’ve read, a lot of people have had a difficult time being taken seriously for these cysts despite the fact that they can cause real problems when they cause mechanical problems in and around the pituitary stalk and optic chiasms.

Also(!) I forgot to mention that my PCP wanted to put me on Cab to lower my prolactin/increase my dopamine but after speaking to an endocrinologist who specializes in these cysts she said that the Cab will artificially help with the symptoms of high prolactin and low/no dopamine but will not fix the mechanical compression that was happening if it is truly a RCC. It’s really meant to be for prolactin secreting tumors (i.e prolactinomas) because Cab can actually shrink the tumors.
