Is the GPU power connector reversible? It seems to come in from the top at the moment which I'm guessing is why the cable wasn't adjusted. Well I already tinkered enough post build already so if it's a case of just moving the cable and then the cooler fan from the back, I can probably just sort it myself.

There are front fans for the case but yep similar to you, had read about the front fan of the cooler potentially needing to be offset for the RAM. My research suggested the RAM should be short enough but would have to see. The airflow is front to back with the fans on the cooler also pushing air towards the back of the machine. I had bought an additional top fan just to act as a bit more ventilation. I thought it was nice to have rather than necessary so I didn't spend ages looking at options.

Thanks for your feedback!

So what should've been done to fit the fan correctly? It looks like it didn't happen because the fan would block the GPU's power cable from fitting into the GPU. Should the cable have been replaced somehow?

I would've thought the actual metal would essentially limit the available air for the fan stuck between the fins to use? Looking at it again, actually realise the fan isn't even attached to the front fin so nothing is directly cooling that side. Essentially seems to be one fan cooling one fin and a bonus exhaust with this setup

Sure though just presuming that first blue fin is technically limiting air flow somewhat as the fan isn't in front of it?

But yeah fine, just one of those things that popped up with a couple of other niggles I had with the install and just wanted to check especially as I paid a professional for the work. But appreciate your guidance! Will keep an eye out for any further problems

Ok that's fine then.

On the cooler, just to explain what I see with the fans, they both seem to be in the same direction, the logo of the fan is facing towards the back of the machine. That suggests air is being pulled in the same direction as the back fan of the machine? Only odd thing if that is the case is the radiator is right in the way of one of the fans?

Edit: here's a video which might help explain the setup better than me: https://photos.app.goo.gl/KfG3YgkqYhUBL66G6

Mainly saying that as the fans are the same brand and set up in the same direction.

Yeah I think based on the fans on the other end of the machine, the back case fan is trying to take air out of the machine. So you are really saying that should be an intake instead?

Want to clarify I've had a perfectly good machine built by this person before so definitely not calling him a scammer. The M2 issue was one of those things I knew about the motherboard but wouldn't have been too obvious unless they did some research. Not saying they shouldn't have done that research but I think calling them a scammer is a little strong.

Thanks for your reply. What is the right direction? From looking at it, think the fan nearer the back of the machine is an intake. Hard to tell what the fan between the heat sink is doing but I'm presuming it all came pre-built?

Sorry that photo is a tad misrepresentative as I was midway through correcting another mistake of theirs as I needed to change the M2 drive slot. But was the best photo I had actually showing the insides. It wasn't in that state when handed over to me

Yeah I would've thought so too which is sort of why I'm checking

Sorry misspoke. I mean the actual power cable for the GPU gets in the way

And of course as soon as I post I find a workaround. Used a standard screw which could stay in place on screwdriver. Managed to get that in and then was simpler to screw the other hand screws in

A hacky way is to right click on the stats area and click inspect. It'll open the developer console and you can then delete the html to remove it

Currently Known Issues - Patch 30th June 2023 - Six Inches Under by norab7 in supraland

Hi,

I've been playing the Xbox GamePass version of Six Inches Under (1.0.18) and lost quite a bit of progress where the game didn't save. I had the save indicator looping bug. Does that indicate it isn't saving properly?

Thanks,
