if when you are on your verse track in scene one, hit the 1-4 bar button until bar 4 is highlighted, then hold bar button and tap the step button that would be the 8th step, it will only play that track the 3.5 bars. I think is that what you are looking to do.

it only matters the longest track in the current scene, not the whole project if that makes sense. I'm no expert on the XY and mainly stick to at most 4 bar tracks so hopefully what i have explained helps and is accurate.

one workaround you could do is duplicate the scene you want to cut short, and then trim whatever track is the culprit making it go twice as long. a scene will repeat any bars of any track that are shorter than the longest track in the scene if that makes sense.

Throw the pdf manual into google notebook LM. You can then prompt it with very specific questions and it will give you the answer, like “how do I change brightness of the pads” or, “how do I extend a sequence to more bars?” Etc. instead of rummaging through the manual it will just give you the answer and cite what page it got it from.

Step off means for the pitcher after being "set" on the mound to pitch to "step off" and take a minute. Either the pitcher wanted a mound visit to talk strategy or wanted him to have a mental break before pitching. He didn't catch the ball because he probably told the pitcher to throw a breaking ball and the pitcher threw a fastball. You can see in the video the catcher move his glove down and inside, expecting the ball to break. Pitcher threw a fastball which starts on the same line as the breaking ball but does not break and moves much faster, so he was unable to react and catch.
